Had the misfortune of trying this place at one point. There was a long gap from my trial to when I went in to ask to try another lesson. Stating I would pay. I had the wrong price info. I explained I was epileptic and was weary of signing up due to safety fears. The OWNER became hostile. Opened the door and asked me never to return as I had interrupted his workout. I left with my head low. Wrote an email and received a cold response. Put me off BJJ for years as I thought most schools would also be that egotistical. Great BJJ places in London who realize that people like myself pay to keep the lights on.

Fantastic place to train in London. Simply one of the best. This is not a corporate gym, it has a family feel to it and has world class athletes and facilities available to all students. Whether you're a hobbyist, a competitor, or someone simply looking to get fit, look no further. Carlson Gracie London is the real deal.

Dropped in for a class, very welcoming, and highly skilled members and coaches. Facilities are a little worn, but easy to overlook based on the quality of instruction and tough rolls.

Signed up for the wrestling-only membership last month, and I can safely say it's the best wrestling class I've been to. Eric Ciake is a fantastic coach and makes the sessions engaging and detailed. The club is very down to Earth, not full of arrogant instructors or students like other places. Highly recommend.

Been training here for about a month as a BJJ white belt. So far excellent experience. General atmosphere is very friendly, informal but focused and everyone is there to help. No bad attitude from senior grades/belts towards white belts/beginners - without fail every time I've worked with a more experienced practitioner they've given me feedback/tips.Real beginners should make sure they attend the Monday/Thursday Beginner Class but also welcome at the other sessions if you wish (although they go a lot faster and are more technical).Judo class on Saturday with Glenn also recommended.Currently upgrading the gym area - plans look great from what I've seen.

Amazing gym with fantastic instructors and great students. Trained for some years at another club up North and was always told Carlson's London was a top gym. When I went I was made welcomed by the instructors and students alike. If you want to learn or improve your BJJ then this gym should be at the top of your list.

I started training here roughly a year ago and didn't feel the need to even try other gyms. Both the instructors and other students are very welcoming to newcomers, making sure they feel a part of the club from the very beginning of their Jiu Jitsu experience at Carlson Gracie. All the classes offered are comprised in the monthly fee. It will be very easy to enjoy training here, regardless of previous martial arts experience.
