It’s a shame this is the only option in Barshaw Park. It’s my local park so I’m in here much more often than I would like due to having a small child who likes ice-cream. There is a lovely lady with blonde hair in a bob, if you get her to serve you, you should thank your lucky stars because she is the only nice one that works there. Everyone else looks and acts like you just took a dump in their kettle. They tell you to order at the counter then tut at you for standing at the counter getting in their way when they’re trying to bring the stuff out. The food is just ok, my husband sent pancakes back one time because they weren’t quite cooked properly and the lady argued with him rather than try and fix it. This could be such a nice wee cafe in the gorgeous setting of Barshaw Park, it would be great if people who actually knew how to run a cafe were in charge of it.

Really wanted to like this place because the park is lovely but honestly, the service is shambolic. It’s midweek and the service is so slow, I can’t imagine how long it takes to get served at a weekend. Apparently the card machine isn’t working but no way of knowing that until you’re at the front of the queue after waiting 20 minutes? Good thing we had some cash.Ordered a roll and found out 10 minutes later that they’re not actually doing rolls. Got probably the worst flat white I’ve ever seen - it looks more like a cup of tea. So watery and it’s far too hot. It’s almost like boiling water with a tiny bit of milk, more like an Americano. Come on guys, this is basic stuff for people running a cafe - won’t be back!

Food is really nice, a bit more expensive than you'd expect but it all tastes good. Nice selection of cakes and ice cream also.

High priced low quality food. Waited outside at the window to be served, was told ice cream machine wasn't working to come inside to be served. Same member of staff asked me what I wanted, meanwhile, another customer came up and said she was waiting to be served and that others where being served before her. However, customer didn't know that I had been waiting for sometime outside to be served. Staff member left me to serve this woman. I walked out with my child, the woman said that woman has walked out". So embarrassing. My daughter started crying for ice cream so I had to got back. Charged £3 for one scoop of ice cream in a tub. Rip off

Staff are absolutely vile. Member of staff grabbed my pram and pushed it out the way while I was trying to get my child in a high chair, after aggressively saying “no prams allowed” whilst I pointed out there were 2 other tables sitting with prams at them… disgusting attitude from the round girl with the glasses. Left without ordering so can’t comment on the overpriced coffee, but atmosphere was on par with a funeral. Will never go back.

Absolute terrible service staff have attitude half the stuff on the menu on isn't even there says Sunday roast on the side of the cafe asked in a Sunday lady behind the counter says never served on ever in the cafe absolutely vile
