The Gaming Hideaway - Teesside

We come here for every birthday for my kids. 2 hours of xbox or PlayStation, and a couple of sessions on the VR. Cheaper than bowling and much better. Staff are great too.

We’ve been to The Gaming Hideaway twice now, first time was for my sons birthday party and the customer service was second to none. They couldn’t have been more accommodating and the value for money is fantastic. I was lucky enough to win their Facebook competition recently which was for an Ultimate Party Package for 12 and again, absolutely fantastic service. The kids always come away with huge smiles on their faces and I can’t recommend the place highly enough. Will most definitely be back in the future!

Fab place my boy went with some friends for his birthday they had so much fun, and the staff where there for anything get needed, much choice to choose from so kids didn't get board. Food was cheap enough too and tasted lovely overall I would recommend and will be booking again thank you

Fabulous birthday party for my son and his friends! Highly recommend! One of girls who worked there really stood out for me, she was lovely, couldn't do enough for us.

My son had his 10th birthday party here this week & what amazing memories were made.All 9 boys had a fantastic time, they were all super excited & made the most of their 2 hours in there.The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble, they were so patient with the kids & extremely helpful.Would definitely recommend & we hope to return again soon.Thanks again for making my sons birthday so special.

Great little find, although the extra tokens for the VR machines feel a bit pricey. Two banks of Xbox and PlayStations, several driving machines (all included in the entry fee) and two walls of VR machines/headsets (for which you need the tokens. My 8 year old son loved it.

Had my sons 8th birthday party here and it was amazing, he loved it and so did all his friends. The place was brilliant and so clean and tidy,and the staff were so helpful and friendly will definitely be back x

Dissapointed vs last years experience.While the facilities remain very sharp well presented and clean, the gaming rigs current and the VR top end the staff were not the best this time through and it was a bit chaotic for my Sons 10th Birthday party. Very much felt like we were just left to make it up as we went along where last year the staff couldnt have been more helpful and provided a lot of guidance.We arrived and no one explained anything to us, just slapped on the kids wrist bands and left them to it. Less staff in attendance of the VR machines than last time so kids were left waiting to get use of things. I had no idea we had a room and would be served food in it until I went and asked about the drinks / hotdogs / sweets etc on the purchased package which I had told my guests was on offer. I only found this out when some of my guests had gone to ask for them they were told that they would come later which is when I became aware of the same leaving me a bit red faced. 2 of my guests were charged for sweets and not informed that they had been given them under our package deal and another wanted only gummy bears and was told that wasnt possible as you have to select 3 different sweets... he literally gave up.Last year we had lots of really helpful staff that interacted with the kids, spoke the gamer lingo and helped them get setup on the gaming rigs. They semed quite happy to be working there and were enthusiastic, helpfull and constantly on hand. This year we had only 2 staff manning the game stations and VR and they werent the best in terms of attention with us having to find someone to help the kids get setup more than once. They seemed less of enthusiastic gamers and more of a get back behind the line" brigade this time through which is quite a step down.The food service was chaotic probably owing to the lack of anyone explaining any of the logistics so we just swept the kids into the party room on our own and asked about the food. We were then asked to bring them back out to select some sweets. The girls came in once we had the kids seated and gave them hotdogs and poured some crisps into bowls but the juice we were again just left trying to sort it out in retrospect rather than it being there when we went through. The plastic neon plates they were served on have seen better days putting it mildly. The banquesting roll on the table was thrown on without any attention or even a bit of tape in the corners to make it presentable.One of my guests didnt realise I paid for a sibling and was charged on entry

Excellent party for my sons 8th birthday! Really impressed with the package! The girls were amazing helping us would definitely recommend thank you
