Glasgow Addiction Services

After a referral from my gp service contacted me. At no point did they ask for any personal information at no point did they ask for any medical information. All they heard was the word cannabis and went into a stock shpeel. The was also a clear lack of objectivity, going into any situation without an open mind will only result in conformation of preexisting perception. This service is nothing but a liability in the current climate in this area.

Glasgow southside addiction & alcohol recovery is a complete liability since covid started we were giveing the green light to go and yet this organisation still only operates on a phone call from a worker every two,three months but they put in the books that they phone you every second week (complete lie) i have been one of the lucky few who has got a worker who gos that extra mile for me &its not only helping me in my recovery its also helping my mental health(So big shout out to katie macabe ) she is what a Drug councillor is all & more but in all honesty i still feal bad for the other ppl who need help but are getting let down because there workers are still useing the covid 19 as a excuse and not giving ppl appointments to see them face to face & its impacted my community has been catastrophic with the amound of ppl takeing there own lifes & the amount of ppl who have overdosed this including my sister without the interaction with a worker yous are missing the sighns that ppl are relly struggleing its so heartbreaking especially wene you lose a meber of your family because so calld addictions workers (bar a few) are neglecting there clients needs or i will refrace this the amount of there numbers (not clients) its decussating how ppl are still been trazed and its been about a year now that the covid crisis was over but now covid is on the rise agen i fear i will lose my contact & being onest if this happens i will take my owen life as am not going through that agen so relly disappointed at these fake addictions workers i could do there job with ease 100% why not offer me a job av been clean for 6year 7 months had addiction for 25 year i could be there manager and show them how to do things 100% but they would never entertain me i know that fur sure its not about helping ppl with south side recovery its about maintaining numbers and giving the odd drug test they dont even monitor if there clients are useing or not they just phone &beleve what they are toldthe reson this is a long post is i cyn go on but there is to much to say about them but just by reading this tells you all you need to know

Absolutely atrocious service - Doctor sent referral after 2 weeks calling myself no further forward except to get a call from another totally different cat team at the gorbals with a condescending little girl giving attitude on the phone. Absolutely Dire No service no response No help absolutely Nothing
