Westport Lake Visitor Centre

Really nice easy walk around the lake with the visitor centre for a stop off for tea and cake.. all this is jaded by the greedy council now banging up pay meters for parking there..

What a beautifully built visitor centre & kind to the planet. Stunning views & the business offers a great service & menuStaff worked really hard and was helpful.Extremely disappointed with all the information walls being covered mainly by stockI was really excited to learn more I don’t understand why you have these really amazing information plaques if they are all covered maybe move the plaques to the outside walls or around the bare walled conference room and make that accessible to public to read the informationI appreciate the business makes the money to keep it open but this is not really well thought out

The park rangers have done an excellent job of tidying the walk around the lake. There's an abundance of birds with geese, ducks, coots and moorhens. Usually one can purchase feed for the birds although the public have been asked not to feed at the moment due to the current outbreak of bird flu. The cafe overlooking the lake serves a lovely variety of snacks and drinks, very welcome after a walk around the lake.

A large lake with a smaller lake and ponds, every walking area is on the flat.Children's playgrounds are great for children of all ages.Food available in the café or oatcake barge on the canal at weekends.

The cafe is great, always stop here when on a walk/bike ride/run. Cakes are delicious and the money goes towards wildlife in Staffordshire.Such a shame the car park moneys don't go to the wildlife trust but to the council instead.

Great place for a walk around the lake. There is a footpath all around,dogs welcome. Plenty of different birds to see and feed. Wheelchair friendly. Parking charges are very reasonable. The cafe is very good as well, Plenty to eat and drink.

This is a great place for evening leisure. Flocks and flocks of ducks are a cynosure. I loved the sunset.There's ample space for parking with a little charge! It is better to carry your own snacks!

A good place to walk the dog for an hour or so. Visitor centre is clean and offers good selection of food and drink and has a balcony at the back with views over the lake. Dog friendly, so well behaved dogs allowed inside (or on balcony). Well maintained paths and plenty of bins etc. Parking can sometimes be an issue and has to be paid for, but cost is low.
