The firm Doesn’t even deserve 1 star.The Staff were Completely unprofessional, deceitful and unwilling to offer flexibility. The van which was booked and paid for in advanced over 2 weeks ago.I asked for a specific car, a Mercedes Vito for 9 passengers. They told us they have 2 available for that day will either be a 2021 or 2022 reg.On the ACTUAL DAY whilst stood in front of the desk to complete the paperwork to collect the car, they THEN informed us they don’t have either of the Vans available, but an 8 seater 2019 Toyota was available instead and would be the same price. This was not possible under our circumstances as we have 9 passengers for this journey. The staff were extremely rude and unapologetic and didn’t provide us with a notice in advance to prepare for alternative arrangements. I am absolutely appalled at the level of service and will not engage with this company ever again!Please steer clear of this firm and opt for better competitors like Enterprise or Hertz who are much more professional and courteous.

Recently I had my first time renting a car from Elliotts when I was visiting family in the Manchester area, though I now live in Canada and it was an excellent customer experience.The price quoted, was with insurance, so there's none of the usual extras or hidden fees, which is always a bonus.The booking staff were lovely and efficient and the hand over team carry out a very thorough inspection with pictures, all of which are provided via email.I was only looking for a 4 day small car rental, so booked and paid for a little Corsa, but when Brad inspected it, the inside, had a clear smell of weed from the last renter, which I 100% confirmed, so I was upgraded to a lovely Peugeot 208 Premium with automatic transmission and every luxury available in a small car.They clearly take great pride in their vehicles and want to you to look after them, so not only are they notifications in the vehicle, but they also hand out a little reminder that the damage excess is 1000 pounds, but for me that wasn't an issue.Drop off takes a few minutes, but they give the vehicle a thorough inspection and as promised, the 250 pound damage deposit was refunded within a couple of days.Overall it was an excellent experience, from both of the young ladies that I dealt with, to Brad and his work mates who inspect have to get all the vehicles in and out of a very tight yard, so I'm happy to recommend them and I look forward to supporting a local business when I'm visiting and need to rent a car again.

Hired 4x4 through work with Elliots once again for some for a site visit in the Scottish Highlands. Had a small hiccup with delivery but was sorted out before it became an issue. Staff are always friendly and super helpful. Cars and vans I've had off them have always been great quality.

Excellent – can’t praise them enough!!! We asked for a large car/SUV and were given a beautiful Hyundai Tuscon – hybrid electric. It was immaculate and mechanically perfect. It took us around safely and comfortably. The pricing was excellent compared to other more prominent companies – with no hidden extras as the insurance was included in the quote. We had been a little wary as when I requested a quote by email from Australia there had been no reply. Fortunately, my brother had been able to deal with them by phone in Manchester. They are always extremely busy – the sight of all the cars and vans is a sight to behold! They just seem to cater more for the local market than to holidaymakers. A very genuine company. I hired a small car for two days from Elliott's. Their price was much cheaper than the big names and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I was given a Hyundai i10 N-line, practically new with only 900 miles on the clock. Immaculate condition and a great little car. I was staying in a hotel close by and would highly recommend Elliott's for car hire in the city. I will definitely use them again when back in Manchester. Thanks

Worst rental experience they should be SHUT DOWN!Charged an extra 100 pounds even thought we went to the office to grab the spare keys and they did not have a pair how on earth a rental company do not have the spares for every vehicle calledthe assistance at 6 am which to top this they do not provide you fora contact number to assist outside office hours after waiting for FOUR hours and a useless trip to the main office it took the recovery guy 2 mins to get us back on the road but yet they still charged us 100 pouns absolute disgrace do not get scammed by this people

Fantastic service!! Needed a last minute van in an emergency. Lauren was brilliant on the phone - so helpful. Zeena was then excellent on site - quick and easy to go through the documentation. Would 100% recommend. Brilliant company.
