The House and Orangery

The The House and Orangery was recommended by a friend. It was my wife's funeral reception, my wife Hazel decided this was the venue of her choice before she passed away and this was obviously a very difficult and emotional day for family and friends. The organisation by Sarah and her team was excellent from start to finish, offering very sound advice on room layouts, catering numbers, etc. The venue is superb (two large open plan rooms with bar, video and audio systems). The food was extremely good quality with a large choice of menus across a wide price range. The staff were considerate throughout and did everything to make the event as comfortable as it could be. The venue when blessed with good weather offers the exclusive use of their patio area which our guests (in excess of 200) made good use on the day. For many it was the first time at the The House and Orangery and everyone was impressed and complimented the facilities and staff. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough, well done Sarah and the Newbold Arms team for making a very sad day so memorable for all those that attended, Hazel would have been so pleased with the reception to celebrate her life.

They were so supportive of absolutely everything we wanted to do, and went above and beyond to make sure our day was as perfect as it was, and came to save the day when things went wrong. They made us feel so relaxed and reassured, and helped make our day all the better!The staff were a dream! A huge thank you to the team who were so kind, supportive and reassuring throughout the day and evening. Huge love to Sarah who was honestly an absolute hoot to plan the day with, and gave wisdom, advice, support and encouragement. She made us feel truly special, and you will always be a truly incredible and appreciated part of our special day. We cannot thank Sarah enough.We really couldn't have asked for a more supportive team to help make our special day a reality.The food was absolutely stunning; you wouldn't believe how many comments we have had from people about the quality and quantity. The service was perfection.We can't wait to return for potential future events, and we will certainly be popping in for a drink or two in the future!Thank you to The House and Orangery, endless amounts for everything they did. We cannot and will not be able to recommend them enough!

I attended a party here with friends. It's a lovely venue with very clean toilet facilities and good food. The bar had a good selection of drinks that were reasonably priced.

This is part of the Newbold Comyn Arms. One of my grandsons had his wedding reception here. It is a truly lovely venue and the food was excellent.

We had our 25th wedding anniversary here. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. Great staff all round, great food and great venue. We particularly liked the fact that we had two spaces so guests could choose whether to join the music or have somewhere quieter to chat. The setting is lovely too, and within stumbling distance from the town centre hotels. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Thank you!

Didn't go to the place but emailed them about viewing for a wedding reception. They offered me a date which I said I couldnt make. I emailed them with other dates I was available to visit and never heard back again.

Hosted an excellent event here, the staff were helpful, knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. The help we received regarding planning and prepping for the even was excellent. The quality and presentation of the food and drinks ordered excelled our expectations! Great in the run up, great during and super feedback after the event! Would definitely recommend and would use the venue and happily work with the staff again!

We had our Christmas meal here. The food was very good and there was plenty of space to chat and dance. I have also been here for family parties ìn the summer which were good and we could sit outside on the terrace.

We had our 25th wedding anniversary party at the House & Orangery and oh my goodness me they did us proud. Their attention to detail was superb. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful. Sarah looked after us throughout: from initial enquiry to the end of what will always be a perfect night. Thank you!
