Great place to SUP , canoeing open water swimming. They have a dive centre , but be aware that the water is deep and cold. For open water swimming to you need pass a swimming test . Show you can swim at least 200m . Other water activities you’llneed to wear a buoyancy aid if you haven’t past their swim test. The lake is in 122 acres of parkland, St Andrews Lakes boasts a 70-acre lake of fresh, crystal-clear waterThe Lakes is only two miles from Junction 2 of the M2 and four miles from Junction 4 of the M20. It also has good rail connections.A former lime and cement quarry . Was 250 feet deep , but back filled to about 120 feet. Fed by under water springs so the water is very cold all year round.
