Great Holiday destination for those that want to un-plug from the outside world. You got it, there is no internet there, most of the time not even phone signal is spotty.Pros- great scenery- excellent wine & dine experience- staff will try to accommodate any requests as much as possible, truly !- lots of walk paths to explore around.Cons(for me was a pros in this case)- wifi and phone signal is very spotty- location is pretty much in the middle of nowhere- limited activity options

From the moment my partner and I first visited Combe House Hotel we knew it was where we wanted to get married. The hotel itself has a welcoming, homely feel, while the grounds and wider setting are simply beautiful. Throughout the process of planning and on the day itself, the staff were excellent - nothing was too much trouble, and they made sure everything ran smoothly. A special mention to Lisa, the wedding coordinator, who was brilliant throughout - she really listened to our vision for our day and was always at the other end of the phone or email if we needed anything. Our day was absolutely perfect and a large part of that was down to Combe House Hotel as a venue and the staff, particularly Lisa. The food and accommodation was also lovely. We had the exclusive use of the venue for the whole weekend which made it extra special.We couldn't recommend Combe House Hotel highly enough!

My partner and I came here looking for some lunch after a few hours walking in the Quantocks. The sign outside welcomes non-residents, however we weren't made to feel at all welcome initially. Firstly we were largely ignored while waiting to be assigned table, then told that there may not be space for us (even though the dining room was largely empty), then dissuaded from coming in by the staff (we are only serving the Sunday menu - are you sure that's what you want?")

We stayed here for a local wedding. This is a beautiful hotel located out of the way in the sticks". The grounds were very well presented and the hotel was clean and tidy. The hotel has a old fashioned feel about it. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were freindly. There is 0 phone signal here and there is a charge for the wifi but I dont see this as a negative against the hotel.Thanks you for pleasant stay."

Delightful, restful hotel in beautiful surroundings. Delicious food and friendly staff who couldn’t do enough to make my stay & dining experience comfortable. Room was clean, cosy and cared for. Hoping to come back in the springtime and stay for longer!

Not just a great hotel with excellent sevice, but kind, sympathetic staff who go above and beyond. Due to an accident resulting in a broken arm the day we were due to arrive, we were so very pleasantly surprised by how sweet, understanding and accommodating the staff were. From letting us check in late to extra pillows, to even sitting and chatting with us. Really recommend the high quality lunch menu as well!

Combe House Hotel & Restaurant
We just had the most beautiful dinner in the restaurant here. Gorgeous hushed surroundings deep in the Quantocks with attentive staff that are genuinely pleased to look after you without being overbearing. You know when every single item that’s carefully placed onto your plate is cooked and seasoned and garnished to perfection, with rich deep sauces and top quality ingredients, that you’re going to leave feeling like you’ve had the best eating experience that takes some beating.

A great two night break away. My fourth visit but a first for my friend. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The food was excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly. The atmosphere easy and comfortable. Our twin room was clean, cosy and comfortable with a view of the garden.We will be back, as will my partner and I possibly for Christmas!

18.3.23, the day we got married at this beautiful venue, amazing staff, amazing food and perfect from start to finish. Combe house couldn’t have done any more for us! We regularly visit for evening meals too which is now a firm favourite for us!
