Brick Lane Bagel Co. (Chingford)

Persuaded to try this outlet instead of my usual go to bagel store. Firstly had to wait over 30 mins for salt beef and no sandwich option. Ordered 2 coffees while we waited. Cups were less than half full, hidden by froth. When bagels were ready, they were OK, nothing special and quite fatty.Sorry, establishment a few shops down the road does it better.20th May 2023 review update.Went back and tried again, as its unfair to leave a negative review after only 1 visit.Glad I did as this was an amazing experience. The lady behind the counter is super friendly and the food (1 salt beef bagel, 1 salt beef on rye sandwich and a tuna sweetcorn bagel) were nothing short of excellent.Tried the cherry cake also, which was moist and lovely.Well done guys and good luck.

Best Bagel shop ever! The salt beef bagel is the best thing you will ever eat! They don't scrimp on the beef and it's incredibly tasty and only a fiver. Honestly, if you only take one recommendation for London, take this one.

This is a very inconspicuous, 'hole in the wall' style takeaway but the bagels are amazing. I also appreciate how easy it is to place an order on their website and pick a collection time slot.

The bagel is itself good but we've ordered here a few times and the fillings have been hit and miss, except recently it's more of a miss! Several times now the chicken schnitzel has been of varying standards. Once it was one tiny piece !More recently it was simply burnt. Why it was sent out like this I cannot even comprehend. It was completely inedible! Salt beef seems to be more consistent. Also the latkes" are just hash browns at £3 a piece

Chingford outlet supposed to be open until 4pm on Sunday August 13th. Was told at 3:20pm (two staff there) that they were closing up and no longer serving food. Pulled down the shutters immediately as I left. Won't be using BLB again.UPDATE - in response to the reply below:Absolute rubbish. I did not ask for salt beef, I asked for bacon and cream cheese, and I was not offered 'alternatives' - the two servers told me no food

Unfortunately a huge disappointment - other reviews assure bagels are baked daily but this simply can’t be true. Bagels and filling were dry, also found an hair in the salmon bagel, and the latke was burnt. Service was also pretty miserable. A waste of £20 and won’t be returning.

Tried there Bagels first time after our golf session. Lady serving me was nice. Had amazing Salt beef, Tuna crunch bagel and Iced Latte Carmel. Will visit again!
