I've been using this Shell since it opened 6 years ago but as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end.In terms of fuel price, it is now 4p per litre more for Unleaded than the BP at Stansted Airport and the airport has always been on the expensive side.With regards to the shop itself, there is never any stock. Given the choice of popping in for something quickly, it's just easier to go to Morrisons over the road. The quality won't be as good but at least they'll have it.

Really convenient place to fill up and shop if you're caught short. But be warned use of Shell App has caused me a massive headache here:Apparently if you dont have good phone signal payments can fail, in which case you're just kept waiting, and they shout at you from the booth.Last visit the pre-payment/authorisation system flagged fraud to my bank, and my card was stopped.

I use daily and always get served by roxy and dana they are simply the best!!! Always friendly always clean always well stocked. Keep up the good work ladies!

Very busy. But not to long wait to get petrol. Saff were helpful.

Only dropped a star due to high price of fuel (compared to supermarkets and a fuel station in Broomfield Road) and the price of food/drinks in-store which is now branded as Waitrose.Food and drink will be far cheaper in the newly opened Morrisons supermarket only a 1-minute walk away.I am always greeted by friendly and well presented staff at this Shell station, well done !Beware of the occasional muddy road and speeding vehiclesas you exit the fuel station - no one obeys the 15mph posted limit which was recently introduced due to the number of speeders in the sometimes very busy junctions - stay safe.

Was in Costa Coffee next to this Shell Patrol Station today, as I had my son with me, he got dirty after eating, so I went over to Shell which was right next door to buy a pack of wet wipes, and I pick up a pack off the shelf, the price label on the shelf was I think £1.09, but I was charged £2.20 at the till, and pointed this out to staff members, they offered a refund, but I didn't have that choice as my son needs the wipes, so I left, but my point was they should just refund the £2.20 and charge me £1.09 as priced on the shelf....but they never offer me this choice, and their attitude wasn't friendly nor apologetics....... very very disappointed with the outcome....... First picture is my card statement which proves the charges, and 2nd picture is the same wet wipes(by Waitrose)which I bought from Shell....and Shell charges me £2.20!!!!!....From other past reviews, it seems the owner ignored all the negative reviews as I did not see any reply, so I don't think I will get any reply out of this review.... but let's wait and see

Fair experience except the fuel ⛽️ could be a lot cheaper.

Clean and tidy when I visited. Love their premium fuel (V Power) which is why I keep going back there!

Too many frustrating visits! I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve picked up a product that’s clearly on a promo - only to get to the counter, have it scanned and then be charged full price, then when I point out it’s on a promo the assistant claims to know nothing about it, or they admit that might be the case but it’s not on the system. Or send another member of staff to check the price.Some staff can also seem a bit rude and unbothered in these situations.Waitrose food section is always under stocked.Store feels disorganised at times, random stock lines placed in the wrong place.It’s a shame as it’s a nice modern petrol station but always feels like it’s not being run very well, whether that’s in store or ‘the system’ I’m not sure.I don’t normally write reviews on anything - let alone petrol stations, but frustratingly it’s on my doorstep so often find myself there for ‘bits’, so I’m hoping that shell or Waitrose read this and do something about it.
