Avoid. You cannot get an appointment. I moved here from Canton surgery and I am moving again asap without even one visit. I fear there are too many patients on the books. Same problem as another reviewer here - waited with 47 others this morning to be told after 40 minute wait on the phone that there were no appointments left. Its chaos. I feel REALLY sorry for the receptionists who were rather helpful when they did answer. I'm sure they have to deal with a lot of disappointed/irate people. It's not fair on them Grange Managers. They are the front line. Will be reporting.

I've moved around a lot in recent years and been to many different surgeries and this one has been one of the best. The receptionists try and be helpful most of the time and nearly all the doctors I've had have been good and actually listened to me. I've only had one very long wait time, the others haven't been too bad. You do have to wait a long time to get an appointment and it can be quite hard to do but that's more the fault of the governments underfunding of the NHS than anything.

Two stars given for the actual doctors & nurses, because once you're actually able to see one they're quite good. Though having said that one locum recently didn't send a referral to a correct department, and I had an awful experience with trying to get a diabetes appointment with the community diabetic nurse as a nurse messed up. The reception staff though (bar one) are horrendous! So rude, dismissive and unhelpful.I tested positive yesterday for Covid. Having had NHS Direct phone me about 3 times yesterday checking in as I'm clinically vulnerable, they told me I should be entitled to antivirals due to being at risk and to phone my GP first thing as they can prescribe them.Well, I just spoke to the receptionist and she's never heard of that"

Very bad experience i can't imagine how they are working they don't care about the patients situation if sick or agave any difficulties they don't care at all. Always they are fully booked and no appointments. I used to call for 2weaks for an appointment and they ask me to call next day continuously doing this with out any appointment made for me. They

My mum was brought in last week in a bit of a mess but Dr Roberts checked her over and said her chest was clear and no blood clots as there not located in the leg there, skip forward to the night same day, & she was emergency rushed to hospital - she very well had pneumonia and blood clots to the lung and legs & the hospital have taken details of the doctors practice as they also said this is serious I’ve had a official complaint my mum was a actual mess couldn’t breathe hardly walk how do you miss this? And I was with her and I told all the symptoms and she liked to talk over me!!

It took calling at 8am for 2 days to get an appointment (This day and age this is probably quite good). But once we managed it, the staff were great and Dr. Harris was brilliant. He treated my father very well

Transferred following the closure of Saltmead - so a relatively new patient. I have no hesitation in awarding 5 stars for clinical care & intervention. Amazing degree of professional and compassionate care during my husbands terminal illness. Drs Lane and Sinnah also offered me support in the following months as I struggled with grief. However, the administration and appointment system is dreadful. Phone at 0800 and number 48 in queue - wait 30 minutes - only to be told no appointments , call again tomorrow! It can take multiple attempts over several days to secure an appointment. Suspect this is a symptom of an overwhelmed, under resourced primary care service. A greater percentage of the NHS budget should be directed to GP services commensurate with their massive workload.

When you get to see a doctor, they're absolutely fine. The problem is getting through to make an appointment in the first place. The organisation for phone calls is a mess, with everyone told to call at the same time. I am confident that pressure would be eased by having people call for emergency appointments first thing and then regular appointments later in the day. I tried for months to get a regular appointment but as and when I had time to take out of my working day to waste 45 minutes on hold, the appointments were all gone by the time I got through and I was told to call back the next day, where surprise surprise, the same thing happened. I never did have that appointment that the doctor had told me to make. They also send you letters with test results saying for you to call as soon as you can to make an appointment, so you do and you are snapped at that you need to call at 8.30 (put that in the letter then). Then there's the phone system, which is very hit and miss as to whether it actually works or not - the ringing can go crackly, the automated messages disappear but you know you're still connected until, eventually, you're not. This has happened several times and I know I'm not the only one. There have also been several instances of the receptionists shouting over you that they can't hear you (this has happened both on my mobile with full 5G signal and on a landline). You report problems to practice manager and nothing ever changes - try listening to feedback and acting on it.I was moved to this surgery the one I was with closed and the difference couldn't be more stark. I'm now looking to move.
