:We had a lovely lunch here on Monday afternoon - chosen because I have eaten at other Zizzi's and enjoyed it and I wasn't disappointed with this Newcastle branch.The restaurant was fairly quiet but there was a lovely atmosphere and the staff were friendly and attentive.I asked about gluten free and was given the allergen folder and talked through options.We were really spoilt for choice but I opted for the mushroom risotto and my husband had the chicken milanese.Good portion sizes and very tasty food.I would definitely go again. Recommended!

I recently ordered delivery from this restaurant through UberEats.The pizzas arrived piping hot and the packaging was well-done.We ordered the margherita and primavera pizzas and both were absolutely delicious. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the flavors were spot on. It reminded us of the pizzas we have tried in Italy.

I booked a table here for my graduation meal and I am so glad I did. They accommodated a party of 10! The restaurant took my present and cake too and brought them out for me which was lovely. Our server Erin was absolute amazing, very attentive and helpful - thank you Erin! The food was amazing. I recommend the prawn starter and the meat Sofia pizza. The pizza was soo delicious and fresh! Thank you Zizzi for making my graduation really special.

Had a great lunchtime experience. Food was very tasty and the garlic bread was lovely and thin with the right amount of garlic and rosemary on. Also was given a little bowl of complimentary pasta crisps which were yummy. Even better was the fact I got a free main meal as part of the zillionaires perkz club. Worth being a member to get some great offers.

We love this Zizzi restaurant for everything. Staff are great and helpful, food is delicious and lots of choice, including to suit specific dietary requirements. Great news!!! The building, decoration and atmosphere are all fanatastic.We went on Saturday the day before the Great North Run. It was so busy, but every member of staff was calm, food came quickly and we did not feel rushed. Nothing was too much trouble, staff went above and beyond. We had our 3 little granddaughters with us, their meals were huge and the girls loved them. We were expecting little kids meals but they certainly were not, which was great as they love eating!I have eaten in Glasgow Zizzi before, but this branch was outstanding. Thank you for a fabulous time.

Recently had a group Xmas lunch here. Not been for a while and had high hopes however after recent trips to local family run Italians Zizzi has really slipped down in my estimation.I had the king prawn linguini. The portion was a good size but the sauce felt mass produced and was very watery. There wasn’t a huge amount of king prawns either or pea shoots. It was ok but lacked flavour and was spoilt by the excessive chilli’s.I can’t fault the service and waiting staff especially as we were a large group and sat there for 2 hours not being rushed for feeling like we had to leave to make space.If you’re after a chain Italian this might be your bag but I’d prefer to support a local genuine Italian restaurant in the future

This was the worst bruschetta I’ve ever had. Literally a punnet of tomatoes put on to dried bread. Never again the price you pay. I still ate it as I was hungry but expected a lot more from a well established company.
