Cardiff Caravan and Camping Park

Stayed here as I was going to the stadium near by to see Beyonce. Its so close (20min walk) also close to city centre. The site is clan, tidy and good value for money. Would definitely go back!!!

What a brilliant site. Easy to find. Lovely walk along the river / through park to castle, city centre (15mins) or along the river to Cardiff Bay (50 mins).Pitches were fine and level with water and electric on pitch and site was quiet. Facilities are dated and could do with a good higher level dust around but they are warm and have plenty of hot water in decent sized show cubicles.Staff were lovely and very helpful. We look forward to staying again.

If you want a site in a brilliant location, in the heart of Cardiff then this is ideal. If however, you want to add the word 'nice' or 'pleasant' or 'clean' to the above sentence, then I would give this site a miss.First and on the positives, the staff are all friendly, the site is in a great location for exploring the city on foot (note, the brown tourist signs all refer to the site by a previous name).There are two toilet blocks, each with two showers but during our stay one block was out of action due to a boiler problem that was supposed to be fixed during our stay and leads us to ask how long it had actually been out of action? It's no great shame though as both blocks are very tired, patched up, repaired and in desperate need of overhaul. Added to this and bearing in mind that this is a council operated site and we are mid-pandemic, there is no hand sanitizer facilities on site and the level of hygiene/cleanliness in the toilets is extremely poor - a daily mop out isn't a clean.In other areas of the site it's the same message. Previous tenants (camping club?) facilities adorn, but they are now aging and in mixed state of repair.As I said, a great location for the city but otherwise I couldn't recommend.

Incredibly rude and unfriendly manager, we are support staff that come regularly to pedal power and accidentally drove onto a muddy verge in order to give a vulnerable adult something to drink, but were met with a disgusting attitude and clear ableism even after explaining the situation. Got stuck trying to leave in haste after being told to leave immediately and never come back! Do NOT give your money to ableist people, can't believe an inclusive charity have to share the same space as them.

Pleasant enough campsite, a few minor niggles but nothing too major. This was the first time we'd ever been to an urban campsite" so we weren't really sure what to expect. It was surprisingly peaceful

Not enough facilities, always a queue in the shower blocks, for the toilets especially. The toilets were difficult to flush, and toilet paper (clean) was just on the floor.The shower blocks definitely need updating, and sorting .Most people had difficulty opening the doors too.On the plus side, it was very central to the Castle and the shops.. In spite of being such a big site, it was extremely quiet.

Excellent camp site. Nicely secluded and you feel like you are in the countryside as it’s so quiet. Yet it’s 15minute walk to the city centre. Friendly staff. Very close to Parkrun on Saturdays. Pontcannna co op is less than 5 minutes from the campsite, plus a great brunch stop and bakery called Ground.I’ll be returning.

Hidden away surrounded by trees and fields is the lovely little campsite. Well maintained with clean coded toilets for guests only. Security gates at both entrances and exit with cameras. There are cinemas pods on site. Highly recommend a visit close to Cardiff.

Absolutely LOVED this campsite and wish I'd booked for longer! Lovely site managers, great facilities, good size pitches, not too close together and a lovely vibe from other campers. Nice and sheltered. Very close to the stunning river. Lovely walk/cycle into the city. Cardiff is lovely too. We will definitely book again when we are back in Cardiff.

Stunning campsite literally a 15/20 min walk to the Principality Stadium. Staff were very friendly on arrival and the campsite is spotless. It was a beautiful setting, not loud during the evenings and set out perfectly. A nice cafe serving sandwiches, cakes and hot drinks. There was only one small negative, which was the cleanliness of the shower, which could do with a refurbish, although the shower was lovely and warm. Definitely will be returning and highly recommend staying here!
