Been in this town for 3 years now and have visited Halfords more than 20 times till now.What I have noticed over the course of last 6-8 months is that Customer Service has improved incredibly.Very friendly and knowledgeable staff that serve you with a smile and get the job done

The lady on the floor Kerry, was knowledgeable, she never once tried to push me to a product in order to make more money, she listened to what I was trying to achieve and guided me to the best products to do the job, I've have just purchased a 54 plate Land Cruiser after my previous one had sadly failed the MOT, this newer car is black and is going to show any little scratches or imperfections, I purchased a Rotary Sander, Microfibre clothes, a Karcher snow foam attachment, a tub of snow foam, fingers crossed I'll get some good results as I have never attempted to polish a car like this. Aaron at the desk was efficient and friendly, Halfords Newbury, spot on .

Best experience and service ever on a Sunday morning! Ashleigh advised and sourced items super efficiently, arranged roof bar fitting while I waited. Very well organised, helpful and can do. Ben and Kyle were brilliant checking the car and fitting the bars. Nothing was too much trouble. All 3 are a real credit to Halfords and a great example of how to do customer service well!

Halfords replaced my car battery with instore fitting and I'm very pleased. My only criticism is that the online booking system does not link to their stores. I booked a fit time online and that never got through to the store, this also happened when I booked a tyre change slot a while ago. This is a simple IT fix but don't know why they don't do it!

I purchased a front and rear dash cam and elected to have Halfords fit it for me., survey done and the installation was booked. The engineer arrives and spends one hour then informed me that the job was too big for him to do and would arrange for someone more knowledgeable to fit the following week. Second engineer turns up and the same thing happens…!!!! He gave the excuse that BMW 420 msport do not have any spare fuses and he would have to take out all the interior seats and he didn’t have the time to do all that… i eventually reactivated my money back. … as you can appreciate I’m not happy with the quality of engineers at Halfords.

Whilst the website recommended the wrong battery, the fitter at Newbury “Angus” was excellent throughout, finding the correct battery and sorting the exchange as well as doing a thorough check afterwards to ensure a very happy customer. A shout out to Angus and the rest of the Newbury team for being welcoming, professional and extremely helpful.
