Had an eye test appointment, absolutely brilliant service from walking in the door to leaving. The optometrist was really good, explained everything as he went along. A big thank you to Stephen for his can do attitude. From helping me choose frames to advice on lenses, first class from start to finish. Great staff, all of them.

Great service from Vision Express Sunderland. Re glazed my sunglasses however I couldn’t get into branch for a week. Without prompting Claire offered to courier them to me once the store received them. Glasses arrived on the Monday to store, courier knocked on my door before 10am Tuesday. Highly recommend this branch.

This is a great place to get your specs. They try hard to get the best glasses for you. I got varifocal lenses and tried hard with them but I just couldn't get used to them and reading was difficult and tiring. You get 100 days to try to get used to them. I had to admit defeat and felt awful as Umyra the Optician was fantastic. No matter I took them back and Helen a wonderful helpful and kind lady who seems quite high up in their hierarchy attended to me. She was excellent. I saw Helen again and explained I just couldn't get used to the varifocal lenses. Nothing was a bother for her. And within minutes I had new bifocal specs sorted. All in all they are competent, friendly, helpful and understanding. I have nothing but praise for them.

Very friendly staff, good eye test by Hadia, clear explanation of change in eye sight (-1 to -0.5) and suggestion was to keep reading and cycling glasses as they are and to only change the lens for the right eye, on two pairs of distance glasses. In discussion with Nicola it turned out to be only slightly more expensive to buy two new pairs and also the coating would differ if I’d gone for one lens only. Not decided yet what I’m going to do.

My usual optician could not see me for 2 weeks even though I was having some problems. Vision Express saw me within hours and diagnosed the problem and updated my prescription. Service was faultless, swift and the staff members very reassuring. I guess that’s me changing my optician from now on.Thank you Vision Express.
