I first met Steven Way (Collier Stevens) at an AGM freeholder/tenants' meeting in Folkestone. From the outset, Steven was open and approachable and was willing to answer all our questions with patience and clarity.He not only demonstrated his expertise with regard to the maintenance and repair works on the building but also offered solutions based on urgency and allocation of funds. Furthermore, he listened to our questions and offered suggestions to the managing agents to make the budget and work schedules clearer to the freeholders. After the meeting, he was kind enough to explain and answer some specific questions I had with regard to my flat, and visited my flat to follow up and give me advice. Steven was punctual and courteous and his help went beyond my expectations, particularly as he stayed longer than the anticipated duration of our meeting. This entailed giving me advice and guidance with regard to pressing problems I was having with a Section 20 notice.Steven followed up, as he said he would, and has helped me navigate a potentially tricky situation. He is clearly a competent and professional surveyor who I would not hesitate to recommend highly. Hence the 5* review.

Fantastic service: I contacted Collier Stevens to enquire house survey charges having viewed a local property. I was very pleased with the quote provided by the pleasant lady who took my call, continuing my enquiry to seek an inspection of a particular concerning aspect of the building to determine the extent of the problem, and hence my offer.Surveyor Steve called me back promptly, discussed the matter, offered to borrow keys from the agent and take a look whilst he was in the area, then reported to me comprehensively. Steve Way is by far the most helpful and approachable surveyor I have dealt with. He provides an efficient and professional service and on receiving the report he is happy to discuss any aspects of it with you if needed. He is also happy to meet at the property for the last 15 minutes of the survey if there is something specific you'd like to discuss with him. I cannot recommend Collier Stevens enough!

Steven Way was extraordinarily brilliant in helping me diffuse, disentangle a potentially nasty neighbour boundary dispute with a neighbour who had been bullying my mum. He logically took me through one step at a time, pointing out the right things to do, document, things to say/write, and investigate. Last thing anyone wants is a dispute as it would cause problems at sale. I'll say more, Steven as well as being top of his game in party wall boundary issues is one of the most nicest, kindest and most genuine people I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. Definitely the friendliest and most approachable surveyors I've dealt with. They also managed to fit me in at extremely short notice because of a cancellation, and I was very grateful for them for making the effort to do this.
