Authentic Sichuan Restaurant

I've been back a few times since my original review. The menu is a little more restrained than it was at first, but the food is just as authentic and the owners are just as friendly. If you're going with a group the hot pot is a great way to share a meal.[ORIGINAL] Great food, friendly staff. The restaurant can feel a little cramped, but that's the price of popularity.

Asian noodle bar is it's new name. Food was very tasty, big portion sizes and reasonably priced. The owner interacted greatly with us and was very informative on dishes we asked about. Great little place x

Was recommended this restaurant as one of the best places to eat in Plymouth . After being here I'll extend that statement to say that it IS the best place to eat in Plymouth, if you take into consideration the freshness of the food, the price of the food , the service provided and obviously the food itself.This isn't your usual restaurant, it's not just traditional or authentic in a twisted western world sort of way. It is actually authentic so do not be surprised by some of the meals on offer if they sound strange.The menu is easy to read and the staff are at hand to help, they lowered the spice heat of the dishes to account for my mum who isn't a Hot Food person.If you love food then drop everything and go here. After this you will not be ordering from Chinese takeaway s as they pale in comparison and price value.

It was okay. Not brilliant. The flavours were not as authentic as they claim. Not spicy enough. I had the hand pulled noodles, they were too hard. Needed to be cooked longer. The soup needed to have more flavour. The beef was like cafeteria beef. And there was only 1 vegetable in the soup. I didn't like it compared to my other experiences eating the same dish.

If you really knew what happens in this place you wouldn't wish to eat there.If your a veggie watch out the kitchen use boiled chicken water even in egg fried rice or veggie curry.The rice that get served if not used goes back into the streamer to be re served to another customer.It's as fresh as coming out freezers and packets ( look as you go to the small smelling toilets there a freezer on right just open it up )The list goes on including there back area where staff toilet is has meat left out in open.Fridge is not stacked to how government hygiene says it should be.The owner not owners if you look it up does not care and finds it funny if someone wishes to make a comment.Service is slow and just about par but not for price you pay.Hot pot is hot s**t all from packets and been defrosted more then a couple of times for some parts of it.Yes hygiene inspector is being called and photo's will be on way.

Friendly service and great food. Always been put off due to the sketchy look of the outside of the restaurant however I decided to give it a go. Very much so worth the money, quality of food is very good along with the size of the portions and incredibly fast and reliable service that is provided.

We had booked for Karaoke and food but due to the price not being what we were led to believe we only had a drink and left.The drink was nice, the food may be nice but we didn't have any so I can't confirm.Make sure you get a confirmed price before booking.

The name isn't the most inspiring but it's an accurate description! The decor is somewhat dated and service sometimes a bit slow, but friendly. The food feels really authentic. We asked for recommendations and our orders were delicious, particularly the double yolk fried rice which was a serious highlight of the meal.

This restaurant sells great food at good prices. I would recommend the beef chow mein as is great tasting food and you get a large portion for your money.The best thing about this restaurant is that the food tastes like authentic Chinese food rather than the inauthentic Chinese food that you get elsewhere in Plymouth.

We had an amazing meal, the food here is just wonderful and the service second to none. We were made to feel very welcome, the staff were really helpful in helping us decide on what to have and took great pleasure in our enjoyment. We will definitely be returning and recommending this restaurant to our family and friends!
