Davina & James offer a wonderful environment and great expertise to help train our rescue dog. They are both patient and kind at helping train both us and our pup so he can be a happy but controlled dog. They one to one was a fantastic insight into the thought process of our dog and they even come to your home when your working to take him out for his walks (very tired when come back). The walks are not just a lop around the local park - they get the walk everyday that we would do on a weekend when not working - this equals a happy tired dog, and no destruction at home from a bored pup.Would highly recommend this business for everything from training, to feeding/purchasing of food, to helping out walking the dog - brilliant service all round and very trustworthy with our four legged little man.

I attended puppy level one with Davina. With my two frenchie puppies. And I really enjoyed my time with Davina she is wonderful and knowledgeable! Always made things easy to understand and lessons we’re comfortable and informative. My Frenchie’s were set up with super foundations that’s to Davina. Shortly after we finished. We got another puppy. An American bully. I had concerns about his lack of focus and engagement. I phoned Davina and she was happy to give me some tips and advice over the telephone. Along side the advice she gave me I began to do the things I learned at puppy level one too and low and behold I now have him focused and learning same as the others.Thanks to the help and advice from Davina my three puppies all entered their very first dog show and won five rosettes between them! Super proud and couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you so so much ❤️

I initially tried a dog training service nearer to me when I first got my dog, Ona, but didn’t really enjoy the experience. Walkabout Hounds was well worth the extra driving time! And on top of that was so much better value for money. I had a 121 session with James, and completed the dog training Level 1 course with Davina. Both are so friendly and really know their stuff. Davina taught me so much more than the course’s set lessons. Ona’s my first dog, and I found having someone with so much experience to sit and chat to about her progress each week invaluable. It’s very true what they say about owners needing as much training as their dogs, and as soon I had that improved understanding everything else followed much more easily. I wish I could have carried on to do the Level 2, but am sadly moving away before it would have concluded. But even just doing the Level 1 has helped Ona and I so so much. I would highly recommend!

I highly recommend Davina & James for all your training needs. Not only are they amazing dog trainers they are super patient and they will take you through things step by step. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else to any of my clients. They give you the tools you need to be a good dog owner and handler and you can have a good laugh and make some great friends in the process.

Training itself was basic but essential for early puppies, a lot of the sessions felt like repetition and did not seem worth the money to me personally as it didn't teach us anything we didn't already have a grasp on. Perhaps I had high expectations, would recommend to a complete novice. This is not the reason for my low rating.We were forced to withdraw from future sessions halfway through the course due to our pups health, she was put on house rest due to suspected joint dysplasia and is still recieving treatment some 2 months later. When we asked if we could postpone or receive a refund for our prepaid future sessions we were met with nothing but rudeness and an impolite refusal from the woman on the phone who all but accused us of lying to get our money back. Terrible customer service is the reason for my review.

Extremely knowledgeable team and great training. They know everything there is to know about dog behaviour. Great shop too, selling tons including fab natural dog products, raw feed and loads more.

Really helpful, enthusiastic and knowledgeable trainers. We have been going there for puppy training, which is a great course and will be definitely booking on further classes. I'd definitely recommend them for anyone looking for dog training courses / classes.

Fantastic place, very friendly staff, and great training tips, our staffy has had some anxiety issues which caused him to chase his tail constantly when people visited or when he got too excited, couldn't have people round due to his behaviour, after 2 121 training sessions with James his behaviour increased dramatically, when people used to come round he wouldn't settle, we once tried to see if he would ever calm down and after 3.5 hours we gave up.First time having people over after this training he laid on his bed and went to sleep after 5 minutes, which he has never done before, cannot thank you enough James, he's a different dog!

We have been coming here with our rescue dog Oscar for the last year and he has come on leaps and bounds! We love James, he is amazing, gives us such great advice and him and Davina are always there to help.
