Avenue Veterinary Surgery - Redcar

The staff are all very friendly. So helpful and nothing is too much bother for them. They have put my mind at rest over the past few weeks. Can't thank them enough.

This practice's vet Emma is worth her weight in gold. She is friendly, approachable and thorough. I felt that she gave 100% attention to my dog's needs, and gave me excellent advice. I believe she saved my dog's life in a recent emergency. The reception staff and nurses are very helpful and friendly too. I highly recommend this practice.

Great place, all staff members are friendly and really good with my dogs. The vets take their time and are very understanding and gentle with my extremely nervous girl and they ALWAYS have treats :)

When we took cat to get chipped they offered us a chip that reads her temperature so no thermometer discomfort if she’s poorly. (This wasn’t offered to a friends cat who was chipped at a different vet at same time) We have a grumpy cat, and they have been great with her even when she’s snarling and trying to scratch and bite them. The mature gentleman vet is so wonderful, very patient and so so gentle.

have been a customer for 13yrs and spent thousand of pounds on our dogs welfare now in in his latter years with many health problems i am aware they are closed and you get transfared to there sister practice i cant believe the callous attitude we encountered when we rang to have him put to sleep for several reasons and they refused to do it and had to arrange it with other practises no empathy what so everproblems healthhproblemz1 with our dog whilst we are awar

Staff are wonderful. But prices are very expensive. Will be using another vets in future.

The staff here are absolutely brilliant. They have always been so helpful and kind and are so responsive to the needs of my pets. The professionalism of the vets cannot be faulted and the happy smiles of the reception staff upon entering always makes me feel welcome. I have absolutely no hesitation with recommending this practice to anyone and am so happy to have found such a lovely and good quality vet service.

Everyone at Avenue Vets is great! So friendly and professional, also very patient with my dog Poppy who is extremely nervous but they always treat her so well and do an excellent job!

If you care about your pets my advice is..... please don’t take them to Avenue vets...we took our dog to be checked over on Friday 27:5:22 after he developed a cough.... they told us that he had kennel cough, that he would be poorly for a couple of weeks but that he would be fine....we were given some meds and sent on our way ... By Monday evening...30:5:22 he was deteriorating and we were worried about him so we took him to the out of hours MiNight vet who checked him over properly and came back with the worst news possible.... that our boys heart was beating far too fast and that it was in fact collapsing .... and that the kindest option would be to put him to sleep..... devastated can not describe how we felt...while we were making him take kennel cough medicine.... which he didn’t have.... our boy was suffering... and if we hadn’t taken him to the emergency vet he would have died in agony in two or three days time..... disgusted does not even begin to describe how we feel.... just because you can’t actually go in the room with your pets since covid shouldn’t mean that they are not even doing the basic checks such as listening to the heart.... which is a basic check for a vet.When you go on their website it still has the old vets who have retired and still has a lady receptionist who died two years ago.... very disrespectful.... and they are running this vets practice on the reputation that it used to have when they were all there.... when it was a good vets practice!!.... well not anymore it’s not.....absolutely disgusting!!!!
