I saw Johnathan Wilson with regards to general bowel ‘complaints’ shortly before the first Covid lockdown. He was exceptionally thorough and professional and the whole experience was a model of clarity and reassurance. He gave prompt analysis of the tests and procedures, answered every possible question, and followed up with very supportive and clear guidance and advice. It was by far the most impressive encounter I have had with a medical professional.

Mr Jonathon Wilson carried out a surgery procedure to repair my inguinal hernia in early August this year. I attended as a self-funded day patient.I cannot recommend Mr Wilson highly enough. I am nearly 80 years of age, but I was in, operated upon, recovered and home comfortably within one day.Mr Wilson explained clearly and concisely what he would be doing and why. He was clear with both the risks and associated costs of surgery, but was also very positive and reassuring in his approach.I returned home in the evening after surgery at around 2.00pm. I needed no pain killing medication, laxatives or catheters at all following the procedure.At the time of writing this review, 5 weeks after my procedure, I am 99.9% recovered, and back to my pre-hernia good health.I consider Mr Jonathon Wilson to be a very fine surgeon indeed based upon my experience. I would use him again in a heartbeat if I were unlucky enough to get a second age-related hernia, hence I have no hesitation in recommending him.

Very well run clinic. Mr. Wilson was very clear and helpful in his consultantion. I was provided with options, with the risks and benefits explained, and provided with literature for preventative care. Clinic staff, from receptionist to the nurses, were also friendly and professional.

I was diagnosed with bowel cancer earlier in the year and was referred to Mr Wilson for the surgery. I am so lucky that I was. His care was exceptional throughout the whole process. He explained everything in simple terms, made my options very clear, listened carefully and patiently gave me as much time as I needed to ask questions. The operation was complex but he performed it faultlessly and thanks to his work the prognosis is now very good. He was a caring presence in hospital and constantly available when urgent post-operative checks and scans were required and he took time out of his day to call worried family members and reassure them as to my progress. His professionalism and care during a very difficult time in my life were second to none and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
