Christ Church
This place has always intrigued me for its history and quite simply because it stands out! Unfortunately though, it is offlimits to the public and is never open for visits.I had the sheer good luck to be walking past this one evening while the gate was unlocked so took a quick peek. Didn't find a soul inside, so it was just me prowling around an old creepy ruined church with its unkempt yard and weathered gravestones. Absolutely nothing strange about this right? There isn't much of the church left after the fire that gutted it in 1977 (says so in the website), but it's still got a quiet, mysterious eerieness about it which is nice. Managed to get some great pictures in a pretty nice twilight settling.

Christ Church consists of the remains of a redundant Anglican church in Wellington Road, Heaton Norris, Stockport, Greater Manchester, England. Only the tower and part of the walls of the aisles survive. They are located on the crest of a hill on the main road linking Stockport with Manchester. The church remains are recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building, and are under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church was built in 1844–46 on land donated by Wilbraham Egerton of Tatton Park.
