Stone House Hotel
The staff here are simply amazing, always put that extra effort in and made the whole stay very enjoyable. The food was also great and the rooms clean and tidy.The only thing that let our stay down was the mattress was over due replacement and rather uncomfortable and there was no ceiling fan or air conditioning in the room which with the hot weather we've been having recently made it difficult to sleep. With reference to the mattress I'm guessing we were just unlucky and they will likely get replaced at the start of next season, as otherwise it was a great stay.

Stone House Hotel
We stayed here for a few nights and were extremely sad to leave. We were inspired to visit the area after reading James Herriot’s—Alfred Wight’s—books. The atmosphere was amazing, we woke up to sheep bleeting feet from our door and everyone at the hotel was very friendly. I recommend taking dinner at the hotel, the food is great and it was very relaxing to enjoy a pint prior to dinner out on the grounds of the hotel. Breakfast was also excellent and provided the perfect foundation for a day of activities. If only we could get the recipe for the treacle brown bread served at dinner… We will definitely be back again.

What a wonderful Hotel ! As part of a large group, the service we received was exceptional. The staff, the service, the rooms and facilities are 5 star. A great location to base yourselves to discover the beauty of Yorkshire. Highly recommended.

Stone House Hotel
Lovely hotel with great staff, delicious food and accommodation. We stayed in the suite which was very comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed. We highly recommend the hotel and will be returning with our group next year.

Stone House Hotel
A group of 46 of us took over the hotel for a weekend and had the most wonderful time. Location, food, service and accommodation were all fantastic. Highly recommend

Stone House Hotel
We stayed here recently for two nights on an organised Porsche car club trip and was perfect. Beautiful old hotel in lovely condition and loads of character. Room was super clean and well appointed, food was superb and service excellent.They were also lovely to our pet. We are going back next year

The staff were brilliant. Catering for a group is so hard and it worked perfectly.Clearly the Dales is the best place in the world, and the Stone House just elevated it that bit more. Thank you.

Stone House Hotel
Simply marvellous, had a wonderful weekend when came as part of a car club.Our room was lovely and very comfortable, the food was lovely but best of all the staff were delightful, really friendly, helpful and attentive.The only thing that could be better would be to have proper cask ale available; I understand that this is planned. Once done this would make the Stone House perfect.

Stone House Hotel
Stayed at this wonderful hotel as part of a Car group and we all took over the whole hotel ,staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms clean and welcoming and food was amazing. Can't wait to go back next year.
