Portsmouth Marriott Hotel

The bedroom itself is top quality., however whoever designed the bathroom in my room (405) needs their head examined. The toilet is so close to the bath/wall you cannot sit on it properly. Equally the bath itself is so narrow even taking a shower is difficult.Breakfast and service of staff was exceptional. Almost as good as a Premier inn.

Friendly staff, good breakfast with plenty of food choice. Rooms clean and spacious. We shared the room with my colleague and it was enough space for both. Large comfortable bed, good shower. Everything you need on a business trip.

I've been four times for work over the past few years and every time the rooms are consistently good with comfortable beds. The shower doors are a weird design that allows water on the floor but that's the only down side. Tea, refrigerator, TV, lock box, and hangers in the room with big outdoor windows. Location is perfect. The breakfast is consistently good.

Location is a bout a £12 taxi drive away. Its a really nice hotel. Down side was that the roof was leaking in the bar area and some of the hallways. Me and my partner however really enjoyed our getaway and will go back.

Attended a conference here. Good refreshments and the conference room was good too. Only suggestion would be to not use wine glasses for water on the tables, a few near misses of spilled water.

Stayed here recently. The rooms and property are decent, what you would expect of a Marriott property. However, the food here was awful, really bad. I did same day laundry and it was returned after 10pm when I was asleep. While sat at the bar watching the Rugby World Cup with an Irish and British guest sat next to me the bar man KEENAN said out loud to the British guest “that nothing would give him more pleasure than to see Ireland crash out”. Being Irish and the guest next to me the same we took exception to this and left. Perhaps KEENAN you would bear in mind that paying guests in hotels come from many countries and when trying to enjoy a drink and the event at the bar we are not looking for you to loudly voice your opinion. Many other options in Portsmouth to stay than here, hopefully with more considerate bar staff

Very nice hotel. Great size rooms. Very clean. Staff were superb. The breakfast was excellent.Mattress was a little hard for me but pillows were great.Would recommend and stay again.Would be nice if they reopened the swimming pool again now that covid hoax is gone.

Slightly disappointed with this Marriott. Nothing major but little issues. The interior is pretty standard and the room was quiet regarding outside noise. Air con did work but made a constant knocking noise. Staff were pleasant. Some minor issues with the housekeeping. The bar was closed at 11pm.

This was an alright place. But out of town and without a car a bit awkward. Room had loads of lamps that needed turning on by switch’s instead of a big light. Cozy but annoying. Toilet was so close to the bath it was uncomfortable. So much do the seat was bent at an angle to make it possible to use. Inside room, so only a view of the bar, makes it feel a bit grim in the room without daylight. Staff were excellent and food was really good. Would stay again.
