As a fast-growing business, we were keen to ensure we didn’t lose our “family feel” and that we had an engaged team who understood our vision and wanted to be part of our journey. We believed we were doing things the “right way” but needed help to ensure we asked our team and could listen to their thoughts and opinions on areas we could improve on as we continue to grow.We started working with Rencai in early 2020 as we wanted to really understand the engagement levels for our business and individual teams. It was a brilliant exercise to understand the areas we excelled in and other areas we could make improvements. We were extremely proud to have the highest employee engagement scores that Rencai had seen. What was more important though is that we worked with Rencai to develop some great tangible actions that could help make us even better and ensure we kept our talented team engaged and motivated.I can’t recommend Matt and Harry highly enough. We have been working with Rencai for around 9 months. We signed up to their Engagement Programme thinking they would support us through a series of Engagement surveys and help provide some focus to our People Strategy but the truth is they have supported us in so many other areas that I don’t know how I could have performed my role without them. In particular Harry who I treat as a sound board and a colleague. His business experience coupled with his natural intuition has made him a value support mechanism for me in a stand alone HR Manager role. He encourages me to think outside the HR box and has helped me to develop our Employee Value Proposition, Employer brand as well as focusing on our internal culture. Matt has also proven to be really valuable in the work he has done around supporting our leadership and management teams. Both have really proven their value to small businesses such as Vaioni and I am hopeful that we can continue working together beyond the initial 12 month Engagement programme.

I have had the pleasure to work with Matt from Rencai from two perspectives, firstly as a candidate and then as a recruiting manager whilst building my team.I was not looking for a new role when Matt approached me but he matched my aspirations and experience with the perfect opportunity at the British Council. As a candidate the whole process was seamless, the support provided was great and I felt thoroughly prepared going into the interview process.Once in post I needed to build a team of process improvement professionals, this was not an easy task needing to find experienced Lean/Six Sigma people that wanted to work in the non-profit space but despite budget constraints Rencai took on the challenge. Our existing channels and internal recruitment teams failed to find suitable candidates whereas Rencai repeatedly delivered strong candidates who not only met the skill set but also the attitude and approach we required. They really took time to understand what I was looking for and identify candidates what would fit into our culture, supporting me throughout the process. Every interview was worth my time and each candidate put forward I could have hired, the hardest part was selecting the best person for each role.I now have my team in place and they are already adding value to our organisation. Matt continues to check on how things are going with both myself and my new recruits, in fact their feedback has been that Rencai is the best Recruitment Consultancy they have ever worked with.I have already recommended Rencai to my previous employer who was looking to fill the role I left and look forward to continuing to work with them going forward.

For the last 3 years, Rencai has been a strategic partner to our business and I can say with confidence that I can attribute a portion of my professional growth over the last couple years to my mentor and confidant, Matt Wilden. He has been a tremendous soundboard for me to bounce around creative ideas and approaches with. He’s also good about challenging me to be reflective and strategic with my time. Matt provides work to be completed at the conclusion of a session that allows for a productive, collaborative meeting the next time we are scheduled.Under his advice, I have become more intentional with my actions and more vigilant with my priorities. This has allowed me to develop my team to become true extensions of leadership and the Conexus brand. By mapping and implementing a clear plan, I have become more visible and effective in my role within business operations.Additionally, he has helped me utilize new tools such as GC index for development impact, Clear Review for performance review, and Engagement Multiplier for feedback. While I have used other tools in the past for these management functions, I appreciate expanding my knowledge and having his support to use the instruments provided by my business to lead in all areas.I feel that Matt was able to uncover early on my willingness to put in the work and my competitive drive. With that, my personal growth was in my own hands, and he could push me to drive the innovate results I was seeking faster. I really appreciate Matt’s honesty with me. I find him insightful and relatable too. Very early on in the conversations we had with Matt and Beth we knew we wanted to work with Rencai. They asked all the right questions to find out what our specific requirements were, and quickly understood that our company culture is at the forefront of everything we do.We provided Rencai with as much information as possible which enabled them to design a bespoke leadership development workshop specifically for our business.The workshop was a breath of fresh air, no powerpoints and no presentation to the group. It was all about facilitation of activities and conversations designed around our objectives which made it a much more natural, comfortable training environment.Overall we were really happy with the solution Rencai provided. It was well designed, well delivered and they were a pleasure to deal with throughout.

I worked with Matt at a previous company. The Senior Management Team would often go round in circles without coming to a conclusion or a decision, resulting in the business not being able to progress. Matt came in and worked with the SMT individually to understand them, and to remove some of the blocks resulting in decisions being made and progress forwards.He also helped us to redefine the roles within the business, meaning they were fit for purpose as well as increasing job satisfaction by tailoring roles as much as possible to individuals.By working through the GC Index with key figures in the business, it really helped the understanding of how each other worked - both in preference and also in strengths. This then meant that interactions and expectations of each other adjusted and enabled much smoother communication. Even months later they would still refer back to each others' results when looking to move things forwards.One of the key differences with Matt is that the service he offers is very tailored - he takes time to understand that each company is different and therefore needs a different approach in order to get the best outcome. He takes the time to really understand and get to know the company and the key figures within the business. This then means that he is able to get the most long-lasting results possible.

Matt has been my executive coach for over 9 months, supporting me to grow into my role as a director and to become a more effective leader. He is an excellent listener and very skilled in asking thought provoking questions that challenge me to delve deeper into my thoughts and feelings to find answers and solutions from within. We have worked with Rencai for the last 8 months on our people strategy at Red Seven. I can honestly say that the work they have done has been instrumental in us creating a strong culture at Red Seven. In a competitive labour market, Rencai have put us on a path to be able to distinguish ourselves from the competition as THE place to work. We have used the engagement programme developed by Rencai to gain an understanding of how our staff feel, and what they would like to see at the organisation. This has enabled us to create an environment where staff are happy. One of the biggest issue’s organisations have is retaining their best staff. Using Rencai can only enhance your chances of doing so. The ideas that they have had themselves about employee incentives have also been a great help. Matt and Harry make themselves available always and share any knowledge they have. Recently we have been working together on our people metrics for the group.
