The accomodation was clean but basic, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The children loved the 3 kids club sessions they attended, as well as the arcade. The site is very run-down generally and in particular, the pool and the mini-golf course need work. There's no WiFi in caravans, so hard to use internet-based media eg Netflix or iPlayer. I wouldn't go again unless it was cheap - and off-season it is very cheap!Having said that, we love the area and have annual holidays there - this November was the first one at Romney Sands itself for many years. The location is perfect for the beach, RH&D Railway, and to explore Dungeness, Romney Marsh and surrounding area. Folkestone and Hythe are both good to visit. A good, reasonably priced base if you love the area or want to explore it.

Lovely holiday camp but cleaniness of caravan was poor. I complained to a lady in reception, she made the right noises, but didn't seem overly interested. The caravan was covered in cobwebs inside and out, there were big areas on the windows in most rooms covered in seagulls poo.The reception lady went to great pains to remind me we were near a nature reserve.Whilst I understand as much I felt the caravan hadnt been cleaned just before i arrived. It seems it must have been cleaned long ago judging by the amount of cobwebs inside. The radiator in the bathroom was filthy. The kitchen appliances appeared to have been smeared with a greasy cloth. The camp site is fantastic, but let down by cleanliness or rather lack of. I visit Parkdean camps every year, this was my first time at New Romney, it clearly didn't measure up to the standards of other camps in my experience.

We had a nice stay and there was nothing fundamentally wrong with our holiday (our caravan, Worthing, was great, and the staff all helpful) but the site itself is just pretty uninspiring (in particular the many brick apartments). Not the location for family beach breaks either - as per other reviews the long mud flats at low tide make swimming or even paddling difficult (although better options were in driving distance.)

A bit of a mixed bag with this park. There's more bad points than good. The whole place was grubby, inc rooms and bar/restaurant area. The food and drinks are so overpriced and not cooked well. Although the breakfast was actually lovely and the beds were clean and comfortable.

Great place for a short break. The site is quite big and some areas needs maintaining and old caravans that have been decommissioned removed from site. Need more paths to caravans. If there's a lot of rain the grass areas around caravans are very muddy. Vans rented out are clean and in good condition . Onsite entertainment ok but mainly geared for children. Bar area quite big and you can order food if you don't want to cook. The surrounding area is great for walls and the steam railway is a lovely way to spend a day going up and down to Hythe and Dungeness.

The accommodation we are in is looking dated and a bit tired. We also had to clean a few of the surfaces but it is not bad. The staff make up for that in spades, they are really good friendly and the kids entertainers are superb. The location is also pretty good, but don't expect a paddle in the sea, it is miles away. The only real downside is lack of both data and cell service in the caravan itselfBut all in all its very good

Nice site but won't be back as we had a dog and there wasn't an area within the club in order to eat.We were told we could use the pub at the entrance to the site, however it doesn't do food on Mondays ,then only pizza or hotdogs the rest of the week but only from 2pm till 6pm.I except paying extra to bring my dog ,but find it totally unacceptable that as a dog only I'm not allowed to eat, especially seen as the site is in a remote area .The alternative was to sit in the small yard at the back of the club ,which you could only get to if someone let you in as you weren't allowed to go through the club ,or to order the food at the bar as a take away ,both options not possible if you are on your own or its raining

Well, the caravan was clean inside I can't fault that, but the park itself needed a massive overhaul & was looking very tired. People on the site was quite friendly. Can't comment on the club house because we was on the dog friendly part of the site & pet's aren't allowed? So was basically stuck in the caravan. Staff was friendly but only see them to pick the key up & drop it off. It's a shame that everything is so far away when you go out except the beach but my dog wasn't allowed on it.Anyway if I did come back it'll be just me & my wife, we was totally cattled with my Staffy & couldn't walk to far because we picked the hottest weekend this year. So has you see in the pictures I had to walk him very early in the morning (6.15am).
