Positive experience taking Chinchilla for a check up. The veterinarian was very professional and the staff at the counter were friendly and welcoming. I'm not local to the area and will continue to travel here as I know my pet would be well looked after

After finding our Guinea Pig choking on something we immediately took him to our usual local vet. Unfortunately, they don’t have too much expertise in Guinea Pigs so we found Cheshire Pet Vets & got booked in as they deal with small animals. They found the problem, kept us updated with everything from how things were going to prices. Our Guinea Pig is back to 100% thanks to these guys.Fantastic service & a fantastic exotic vet. Couldn’t recommended enough.

Had cat that was falling over all the time which came on suddenly. Had several appointments with vet.In surgery care was very good but he got worse at home so emergency hospital treatment required. Was arranged immediately for CT Scan at another hospital which showed Cancer in brain. The prompt response prevented any prolonged unnecessary suffering before I put him to sleep.

We took our ill 11 year old bunny here last night to be put to sleep as we thought he had been suffering for too long even with pain meds, we've never used Cheshire Pets before and I can't praise them enough! I HAVE NEVER come across a veterinary practise with so much compassion and care as I did last night. They couldn't do enough for me and my children. They made what was such a horrible time and decision alot more easier, the lady who came into us in the private room (which may I add was really nice as my daughter was very upset understandably) sat infront of my daughter and her bunny and explained everything that would happen and what she would be doing, she even checked if she wanted to hold him whilst he fell asleep. She then told us she'd leave us with him a little while whilst she got everything ready. She took Bunny into the back to put in his canula but when she came back into the private room to do the procedure she once again checked if my daughter still wanted to hold him and again went through everything she was doing at each stage with her.He went so peacefully and fell asleep before she'd even put half of it in the cannula so he was most definitely ready, she after said to us I'll leave you with him for abit then come back in to see if you're ready for me to put him in his cage for you.We came home with the most beautiful card, nose print and bottle of fur. I would highly recommend them to anyone and can't thank them enough xxx

Despite having many good experiences with the clinic and vets, it's always the poor experiences which overshadow the good. But, I will say that the team and reception are extremely empathetic, understanding and willing to go the extra mile. They've been a pleasure for the most part. They are also very cost orientated, ensuring that all costs are explained to you upfront and they often look at the cheapest alternatives - ie. Offering Metacam for horses as it's cheaper than dog Metacam. Or recommending a CT scan at a set price, as opposed to 20 individual tests which would prove more costly in the long run. This is a huge positive! My issue stems from a number of instances whereby we were told that things were as they should be. Nothing physically wrong" which have made me uncertain and uncomfortable with going back for more complex matters.1) Animal had become unusually aggressive - completed a physical exam

We had our lovely dog neutered at CPVP this week. He's been badly treated and is very fearful and reactive as well as being nearly 49kg so quite a handful! Hope (vet) has been so caring with him over the time we've had him and taken care to find out the best way to manage him from both ourselves and Dogs Trust. We were given tablets for him for the evening before and the morning of the procedure. Given his issues, they couldn't have made easier it any for him and only 2 days later there is no sign of any distress which we can have if he's been frightened.Brilliant job CPVP team! Thanks

Take my two lionhead rabbits here they are seen by Dr Cristian who is an excellent exotics vet. Cristian has been seeing them for over 3 years now and I wouldn’t take them anywhere else. He has saved one of them from gut stasis last year by taking all the right actions and the level of communication throughout was brilliant. The nurses are also fab Hannah does their nail trims and she is great with them and reception are also very considerate. They understand sometimes I prefer to wait in the car with them if there are dogs or children in reception so I find this really accommodating and helpful, thank you.
