Definitely recommend this placeI have been here to cut my hair for numerous years, I get a Skin fade usuallyNever had any issues with my hair cut at all.For those considering joining as a trainee barber ,I think you will all be in extremely safe hands. Definitely one of the best barber academies I have come across.There is always plenty of staff on hand to help the students. Staff also walk up and down checking students are doing things correctlyOne thing I admire is whenever a student asks for help , the tutors just seem so chilled, relax , calm and polite . They genuinely want the student to do well and are very professionalJoe, H and George are some of the trainers I have seen help the students and I must say they are very helpfulThose who have moaned about wait times and quality of hair cuts - I have never had a bad haircut from here as the trainers are constantly checking things . End of the day these are trainee barbers and they are doing their best. We all started from somewhere. Waiting times, I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes, which is reasonable considering its a free hair cut .I recommend this place for both a hair cut and also to those looking for an academy

I studied at Total Barber on the ten week NVQ course and I enjoyed every second of it; from day one I was made to feel welcome by the team of tutors which made my experience even more enjoyable. The level of tutoring I received was impeccable and was tailored to my individual needs of which helped me progress throughout the course. Each tutor has their own area of expertise and in-turn has given me a well-rounded skills set that has become invaluable throughout my journey as a new barber. I’d like to thank Shaun, Josh, H, and Steve for their support, mentoring, and giving me the confidence and positivity to help my career get started.

I did 4 weeks here and honestly didn't want it to end. Experienced tutors, all with an enthusiastic, professional approach to teaching. You get to work on different cuts and hair types. The atmosphere is chill, no stress. I'm walking on to my next job feeling so much more confident, Thanks so much Shaun, H, Josh, Omar and George!

They struggle with longer hair and also do not take bookings seriously. You can book but I booked an evening slot and they didn't say anything for hours until I came and they told me that there was a mistake on the system. They rarely check if you've booked or not and are unprofessional. I have been going for 2 years and they have never asked if I have booked. Only the past 2 months there has been issues with their websites or management.

I went this morning and only waited 10 mins. Friendly welcome. The lady who cut my hair was great and I came out with a good haircut, exactly what I wanted! Will definitely come back. Thanks all!

I visit the academy for two years now. My last visit was on a Tuesday morning a couple of weeks ago. A student who goes by the name Amy, made me look like a million bucks. I have always had good results. The students and the tutors are so efficient. Go for it !

Came here for the second time and got a great trim like last time, rather better! Lawrence was absolutely brilliant and replicated what I can safely call a professional cut. Cheers Lawrence and Total Barber Academy, highly recommend!

Absolutely brilliant training academy, for beginners and experienced barbers.I came here for an intensive refresher course, having previously completed my own Barber training qualification in 2015.The teachers are excellent; highly skilled, friendly, approachable, and break down learning easily for you with ease and understanding.Students are there at all levels at all stages, and no one is made to feel stupid. There is an underlying respect for everyone, good humour, hard work, and almost a family like atmosphere that makes you feel welcome and fitting in immediately. No need to be concerned either about being a female in a traditionally male dominant sector. No sexist old fashioned attitudes are shown, or allowed here.There is a fantastic laid back, relaxed but hard working atmosphere, and you get plenty of real life hands on experience that would help you prepare for life in a barber shop or as a freelancer in the industry.The only thing I would change is extending my days with the Total Barber Academy as the week flew by and I didn't want to leave!Thank you to everyone at TBA, I highly recommend training with them.
