I've owned great cars and total turkeys, and I've known great garages and very dodgy ones. JD come under the 'great' label! Some garages can be foiled by the increasingly electronic nature of cars, and set hares when all that's needed is a good diagnostic. JD are also noticeable for pointing out little niggles and fixing them easily - for some reason I've had clunking anti-roll bars on 2 different Citroen C5s (maybe it's endemic to the model? :-) ). Overall, they are very fair and honest in their dealings, always give you a quote if needed for the work, and their bills are always comprehensively itemised, so you can see exactly what's been done and why, and if any advisories are needed for the future. They're friendly and informative to a fault and terrific to deal with. Accept no substitute!

A Brilliant TeamIt's not easy to say that spending money on a service and MoT is an enjoyable experience, but these people make it as painless as possible. The service is charming and the operation is smooth and professional. Prices are extremely fair. Having only recently moved into the area I was nervous about finding an honest garage to look after my car, as rip-offs are endemic in this industry. I seem to have hit it off first time with JD and will look forward to a long acquaintance.

JD have been unbelievably helpful dealing with three cars of mine, two of which had issues straight after buying them. They were 100% professional in finding the fault and handing over the car back to the seller for repairs, even though it meant lost business for themselves. Tracy is brilliant at explaining what will be done to your car before the work even begins, and all work is itemised clearly on the bills. As long as I'm in the area I'll be taking my cars to JD - it's the kind of garage I remember my dad taking my car to when I was a teenager, and he is the most sensible man I know.

Booked car in for diagnostics few days prior, dropped off at 08:30 and said I would be in local area till finished. After phoning in twice for an update throughout the day, to which they told me they hadn’t got round to it yet. I decided to pop in at 16:30, they still hadn’t done anything to my car. After seeing I was pretty angry they quickly moved stuff around and within 5 minutes had completed the diagnostics, then charged me £60 for the luxury. Took them 8.5 hours to do a 5 minute job, that they still couldn’t fix for me.Tried to give me several excuses about how busy the day was but had they told me that when I dropped it off I could’ve come back at a quieter time.Very poor customer services, very inconsiderate of their customers time, and terrible communication. Will NOT be using again.

Car was way past it's MOT due date, they fitted me in and hey the car past, now I can renew my DD on car tax, happy days

Blown away by the professionalism of this garage. Never been to a garage like it. Super friendly service and an honest quote, the ladies behind the counter are knowledgeable and took me to the mechanic to have a run down. Even threw in a free car wash. 100% recommend.

I was recommended JD Automotive by a neighbour as i used another garage in Leominster which i was unsatisfied with.Ive used JD on a couple of occassions now and they are, my in experience with driving the last 15 odd years the fairest, and most reasonable garage around.I do think as a female (even in 2022) it can be daunting going to a mechanics but on each occassion they have gone out of their way to be totally fair, friendly & i have had a really good experience both commercially & as a human.I would not hesitate to reccomend.
