Five Guys York
I can't give it 5 stars as it is so overpriced. £21 for a cheese burger, fries, and a soft drink! Plus you have to stand and wait for the food! For that priced I'd expect waiter service! Though I can't deny the burger was out of this world only if the fries we over salty.

First, and last ever Five Guys meal. For the price paid i expected something special, and special it was not!The bacon cheese hot dog looked good on the menu, and thats where the illusion ended. It was well, burnt. The bacon was cremated, almost black and in bits. The hot dog was like rubber, like somebody was feeding me rubber hose in a bun, and the cheese was like a slice of melted kitchen lino, all inside a bun that resembled a lump of kids play-dough.The chips would have been really nice had it not been for the amount of salt on them, there was enough salt to melt the arctic circle, waaaay too much. The only good thing was the shake, nice, very nice, but not £6 nice. All in all, £60 spent and only the shakes were enjoyed. Avoid and buy yourself a BK or some street food, your wallet and your kidneys will thank you.Oh, and if you like the Crystal Maze you’ll love the toilet experience.Good luck, and may your god have mercy on your soul.

1st time trying a 5 guys. Very chill atmosphere, nice staff, but this is proper American burger food. Place seemed clean, and right in the centre of the city.

Awful food, unbelievably overpriced £50 for 2 tiny disgusting soggy burgers, tasteless chips and a plain hotdog. I would totally avoid! We will never eat here or any Five Guys again. Cold restaurant to sit in too.

Food was served raw and cold inside - would avoid this place now. Pregnant so this could really make me sick

We all, 4 of us, enjoyed our food. My vanilla milkshake was delicious! Just be aware of the prices before ordering they aren't McDonald level prices. Nor McDonald's quality. These are thick and juicy burgers and you get tons of fries!

The food was good. Not the best burger I've had, but you can tell they use fresh ingredients. Condiments are in abundance and the service was definitely friendly. I'd visit again.

Well sized Five Guys, but a little oddly laid out - toilets upstairs as you walk in but seating up another flight of stairs further on?Fast, friendly service. Great food - patties were cooked amazingly, not overdone and burnt like they can be at my local store! Fries weren't in the best condition, but that's the potatoes, not the staff. One coke from the machine was running out of syrup so just tasted like soda water, and the other machine, Coke was completely unusable, greyed out, so ended up getting Dr. Pepper which was a slight let down.Would return if in York and fancied a FG :)
