Service was abysmal, the waitress was extremely slow, forgot 50% of what we ordered. Then just ignored the point of half our food came out.Chicken Caesar salad was possibly the worst we’ve had.Chicken drier than the centre of the Sahara desert. Croutons maybe a few years out of an open packet.Very let down by an establishment that should be much much better

Really quite enjoyed our stay. Staff all very friendly. Food enjoyable. We were staying with our dog and although he was made welcome (thank you) it did mean we couldn’t eat in the restaurant itself. Our allowed table for dinner was fine as were served but it wasn’t so great for breakfast. Too far away for self service. If a couple of dog friendly tables could be closer for breakfast that would have been ideal.

Had breakfast here after staying the night. Was fairly good as hotel breakfasts go - lots of continental options and cooked vegan breakfast was fine. Lots of the options had a supplement though which felt a bit cheeky as breakfast wasn't cheap!

Disappointed, staff were miserable, receptionist did not seem interested, we forgot to book breakfast online, she did not offer breakfast, we asked to book for evening meal, we booked 5.30 cause we’re hungry after travelling, went down to dining room at 5.30 sat at far end of dining room ( because there was a noisy wedding going on), got snapped at “have you booked”!we replied yes snapped again “what time “ 5.30! Ok. Waiter came took order, we had not finished our starters for two mins then the mains came, we felt very very hurried. I will not mention the price I paid for a bottle of wine as I am sure you know that , the icing on the cake, we pulled the bed settee forward to get closer to t.v. There was thick dust, a used sock and broken glass under it, I told the man in the morning his reply “I apologise “!!!!!!

Lovely comfy hotel with friendly welcoming staff. Would highly recommend. Only bought the room for a night, breakfast wasn't included but was only an extra £10 to add it on.

Lovely little stay over. Spacious room with everything I needed. Great bathroom with both a bath and separate shower area. Clean and well presented. Nice feature was a tap near the lift with both water and sparkling water FOC! Loved it and will be back

A quiet Sunday evening in this Hotel very close to the M6.A good VFM package inc Wine & Dinner in quite refreshed palatial surroundings followed by a hearty cooked breakfast and a River Ribble view from the bedroom.I thought check-in thin on a welcoming approach and eye to eye contact but he handled my special query with efficiency if not aplomb.

The bed was comfortable and was fine for our stay, it was looking a bit tired though, the bathroom door needs replacing. There was also a bedside lamp missing from our room and the window was broken so it did not open properly. I was impressed with the good selection of infused tea bags available in our room.When booking we had the option of adding breakfast for £30 for the 5 of us, we didn't book at the time but decoded to book breakfast when we arrived. The chap at the desk didn't mention it at check-in so I enquired, only to be told it is expensive and would cost us £100 (£20 each 2 Adults and 3 Children) an increase of £70 from our online booking. I asked the receptionist why it was so differnt to the online price, he had no idea, just said it was hotel policy?? Policy not to encourage people to stay for breakfast?? Needless to say we did not book breakfast and will go somewhere else (Greggs is 4 min drive away).

Very quaint hotel, better than outside impression gives, great service, lovely food fresh and home cooked and for a standard room a big spacious size with all that you need including Elemis products for a touch of luxury. Will be returning a fantastic Tesco voucher option recommended

Rooms a little old apart from that beds so comfortable, rooms clean, extremely helpful staff. Lovely comfy social area bar/lounge. Breakfast really good. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
