Smyths Toys Superstores

Although I could not find what I was looking for, (I was looking for some squashmallow clips/keyrings) since Smyths have a lots of squishmallows and different types, I thought they’d carry this and I thought I saw them online too. I entered the store and we asked this young man if he knew if they had them and where and he went everywhere on the store looking for them even looked online and tried to ask someone in the back. He walked around the store with us and was very helpful even offered that he would be able to help me the next day if I was able to find them, he was great, thank you. His name was Tyler, give him a bonus!

Very good range of toys and knowledgeable staff who are very helpful. There are two members of staff in particular who were very helpful with the Pokémon range unfortunately I didn't catch their names.

Fantastic staff and a great choice of toys for all age groups ,, was a great experience until we were abruptly and rudely told by the security guard to turn our trolley round and go to the tills to pay NOW ,,,as they were closing ,, the manner and tone of voice were disgusting and rude ,, we thought it was strange why there was no announcement on the tanoy,, any way we rushed to the tills to pay In dis belief of how we were just spoken to …as we were paying our 347 pound bill ,, there was a polite announcement on the tanoy ,, asking customers to pls make there way to the tills ,, the upset forgot me to use my voucher on this occasion and to get a refund for my parking ,, I think security guards like him are more suited on a nightclub where they can bully drunken club goers ,, I’ll probably now got to the Bromborough store to finish my childrens Christmas shop ,,,,,,,,don’t put bouncers on a toy shop ,, use polite security guards

A male employer smashing a bike going to your skip today , only a little scratched . Why not donate this to a food bank ? Was throwing it in whole until he saw me looking . Disgraceful .

As a kids store I'm supprised they won't let kids in without an adult

A big store with a good selection. Ruined however by an over zealous security guard. As my husband was paying and I wasn't feeling well I decided to wait by the door, as I went to leave (leaving my 14 year old to just look at something near by). I went to leave the way I entered. Security guard wouldn't let me. I could see the tills next to me, but no other way out. So I left through the tills.I waited by the door and saw many customers refused to leave by the guard. They all left through the till. Mind you, till staff weren't bothered.My 14 daughter did the exact same thing and went to exit the store. She was stopped abruptly and he started gesturing at a NO EXIT sign that is so high up no one can see it. She then wasn't sure what to do so I gestured for her to come the way I had through the tills. The security guard didn't see me do this or realise she was with me. He then tried to stop her and chastise her pretty loudly. He didn't do this with any of the adults by the way and none of the staff said a word. He was a little over aggressive and maybe needs to be retained. I phoned my husband and told him to leave any toys he had picked up.

Very disappointed with my most recent visit to the store today (3/1/23) Initially very impressed after making numerous visits to the brand new Wrexham store and spent alot of money there before Christmas with no issues, plenty of staff around always happy and willing to help out with anything at all. Seems to have changed significantly now Christmas is over as I struggled to find a member of staff to help with an item on a high shelf and was ignored by 3 members of staff when I approached the desk area who were more interested in chatting about their weekend antics for all to hear. Unfortunately because of this I left the store without the items I wanted to purchase and have now purchased them elsewhere.

Went into the new Wrexham smyths toy store, as I have 4 grandkids. Went looking for toys for them, selection was amazing. Staff very friendly helpful and I spoke with the manager Chris, very nice guy had a lot of time for me, gave great advice on what to buy for the grankids. Will definitely be back
