Great club. Friendly people. All types of runners from slow and steady to elite.

Joined the club in September 2020 after completing couch to 5K on my own. Such a friendly group of runners, I was made to feel very welcome immediately. The runners are like a family to each other. They mainly do road running around the local area, sometimes they do trail runs and a mixture of speed work and hill work sessions. There are also opportunities to meet socially too. There are opportunities to run in the league as well as cross country. There is a mixture of novice and experienced runners, some have ran marathons and ultras and some are regular 5k and park runners. There is a wealth of knowledge from the club to tap into. If you’re worried you’re not fast enough, they have runners of all abilities and they will never leave a runner to run on their own.They also have someone who has level 6 British Sign Language. They are a very inclusive club wether you’re deaf, blind, or have additional needs. I joined approximately 5 years ago, upon my 1st attendance to a club night I was obviously nervous and Concerned I would be out my depth and all the other runners would be elites, what I actually found was I was mid pack of the club surrounded by like minded people with a philosophy of never leaving a runner to run alone.Fast forward to this current day I live 35 miles away but still attend club nights when I can with soo many friends Ive made at the club.A quick insight as to whats usually done on club nights for anyone interested is Tuesdays are usually hills and speed sessions but made suitable for all runners together, on Thursdays there is usually 3 different size running routes varying between 5k and 10k.All in all its a very social club with an almost family atmosphere. With runners of literally all abilitys and ages.
