Ward Antique Fireplaces

Fantastic service. Beautiful fireplace. I live in the New Forest; Ted and his team have previously powder coated two upstairs bedroom fireplaces, cast replacement bars and provide slip heaths for me. (Before and after photos also shown). This was to replace a 1960s fireplace in our Victorian house. Nothing is too much bother for Ted and his team. I visited the show room in London, saw a fireplace I liked - but not on the size or finish I wanted- but that was ok, they had another 3 in the warehouse. Fireplace and slate hearth delivered and fitted by Ted’s fitter and his son (who were both lovely and did a great job). End result is beautiful and we couldn’t be more happy. Recommend without reservation.

Buying a restored fireplace from Ted & Luis is an enjoyable experience in itself. We were so happy with the outcome first time around, so we immediately set about opening up a covered chimney breast in a second room. Their knowledge and enthusiasm is amazing, we got a tour of the shop and warehouse, and we are really pleased we chose Ward Antique Fireplaces. Their fitter also did a great job on both fireplaces. The best thing I can say is that you immediately know you are dealing with straight, honest people.....which stands for a lot these days. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

Ted and his fantastic team of fitters, fitted three beautiful fireplaces for us. We were on a tight deadline and he managed to squeeze us in in just a couple of weeks. Very professional service and gorgeous fireplaces. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

We found Ted and his team through referrals. Simply put, nothing is too much for them. Ted has experts for everything and all his experts was equally as helpful and good. His knowledge of the different periods is excellent and he will not provide parts of an Edwardian fire for a Victorian fire. His prices were good and our builders said that he left the house clean and tidy. We now have some fantastic fireplaces - big thank you Ted and team!

I’d resigned myself to a knackered old eyesaw of a fire 25 years ago when I was unable to find anyone who could provide a replacement hood. Seriously contemplating total refurbishment now I’ve found these excellent bods. Thank you Ted!

Ted the owner was great to deal with from the moment we first walked in the shop. His knowledge is amazing and you get the feeling he loves what he does. Stuart and Lewis who came to fit have done a great job too (ignore the missing skirting, that isn't anything to do with them). Ted also helped me out of a hole (both literally and metaphorically) from one of their Crawley Down based competitors and restored my faith in the trade.
