Dovecote Events (Barn & Tipi Venue)

We had our ceremony on Sunday 6th August. The team at Dovecote Events were very professional and helpful from the start. It’s a beautiful location that we would highly recommend.

I honestly wish I could give more than five stars!From start to finish, the team at Dovecote were nothing short of amazing. They made everything so easy for me and I couldn’t fault a thing. Not to mention they completely accommodated me when it came to details regarding my family coming from overseas.This venue is beautiful, cozy and full of character and run by people who definitely know weddings.100% recommend for a super special evening.

Dovecote was our first venue we visited, we fell in love as soon as we got there, both with the barn and the staff showing us around. We felt so at ease and relaxed we knew from that moment this was our venue. It did not disappoint.Throughout the whole process the staff were amazing, answered all of my questions, nothing was to much and on the day just WOW. We chose the barn for our day and it was beautiful, you really didn't need much decor as its got such charm already. The food was also fantastic and guests are still talking about how good it was 5 weeks on, you definitely don't go hungry either.If i could redo the whole day i wouldn't change a thing and that really is down to the venue and its staff who make the day run smoothly and go the extra mile whenever its needed. You won't be disappointed choosing Dovecote as your venue.

We had our autumnal wedding at the beautiful, rustic Dovecote, and what a hidden treasure it is. Mel and the team were incredible, both on the day and during the whole planning process. Mel couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating in helping us to create our wedding of dreams and we are so grateful. The team were always quick to respond and went above and beyond in enabling us to have the best day of our lives. The food was all sensational too, from canapés to the wedding breakfast, cheese tower and evening nibbles, nobody went hungry and everyone loved the food. Nothing was too much trouble and we are so grateful for the whole teams time, effort, helpfulness and kindness in being such a huge part of our wedding day and planning process. We couldn't have asked for anything more perfect for our wedding than we experienced at Dovecote. From the first enquiry to our wedding day itself Mel and Matt were helpful, accommodating and friendly. The BBQ food was exceptional and more than we could eat.The barn, tipi and the staff gave us the magical day we had hoped for. All of our guests loved it and so did we.

We had the most amazing wedding at Dovecote, we used the barn for the ceremony and then the tipi.The whole process was so seamless, from viewing the venue, to booking, trying the food (which is fantastic), setting the venue up the day before and the main day!The whole team was so helpful and having Melanie to coordinate on the day meant it was a hands off, stress free wedding.The venue itself is so beautiful and having everything in one place meant everyone stayed together.Don’t hesitate to book this venue!!!

It’s taken us a month to write our review, in part because I want to do it justice and also I think I’ve been holding onto it so it’s still not quite completely over!We couldn’t be happier with our decision to have our wedding at Dovecote. Matt, Mel and the team were helpful and didn’t pressure us to book, and when we did, they answered every question and gave us great advice the whole way through. We chose the BBQ platter dinner which went down incredibly well, giving the more informal feel we wanted, and the tasting was an event in itself! We got lots of comments about how good the food was and there was plenty of it.The barn is absolutely stunning and a perfect ceremony venue, and the tipi made the evening extra special, especially as we were able to make use of the fire pits thanks to the weather! But as great as the venue is, the team are what makes this place stand out.The day before the wedding we (and several helpers!!) arrived to set up at the tipi and were welcomed by the whole team (Tom, Lauren, CeCe - thank you!), who were all so friendly and ready to help. As soon as we made a suggestion or request, it was as good as done.On the day, nothing was too much trouble, the team went above and beyond and were there whenever needed, but never intrusive or pushing us to do things a certain way, it was all about what we wanted. Going the extra mile to fetch my trainers from our car so I could dance the night away and dropping us back to our bnb when we missed our taxi, we will never forget your kindness, alongside perfect professionalism. The second-best decision we made after marrying each other, was choosing Dovecote as our venue. We are so grateful and have the fondest memories, thank you.

Dovecote barn was the first venue we looked at and there was no need to look any further. The setting was just beautiful and we instantly fell in love with the place. Our wedding day was better than we ever could wish for. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was superb and enjoyed by all our guests and evening guests. The fact that we were allowed to have our belloved Boston terrier with us meant we could enjoy our day even more without stress. A special thank you goes out to Mel, Matt. Lauren and Cici for making our day even more special and in particular Lauren for putting up with us.

They have a passion for amazing food and we truly felt like they wanted to make our day ours and as personalised and memorable as the next client. Honestly couldn't recommend Dovecote Events enough. Cece handled our wedding and was extremely helpful throughout the process. Everything on the day was seamless and it was a magical day we will remember for the rest of our lives. Nothing was too much trouble and the food by chef Tim was exquisite. It was a really relaxed and enjoyable day. The tipi built by Tom is a gorgeous venue if you are looking for bohemian luxury. The gorgeous barn where we had our ceremony was peacful and intimate. All that we added was some simple natural decorations. All staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and made us both feel at ease on the day. A truly wonderful experience.
