Went for the first time today to replace broken string on my son’s guitar. Served by a lovely guy, really helpful who let us try out an amp which we ended up buying. Lovely atmosphere in the shop- will definitely be back in the future.

Visited this amazingly stocked shop yesterday as my 12 year old was looking for an electric guitar and amp for Christmas. The lovely owners let him play many guitars (he’d have stayed all day if he could) and were so helpful and patient. He decided on a lovely guitar which he can’t wait to play, we will definitely visit again.

Apollo music shop Birkenhead,This was the 3rd time in the shop in as many weeks.Owned by brother and sister Jamie and Lindsay with Pete another knowledgeable member of staff. I bought a fantastic guitar from the VAST range they have.After taking it home I found a problem with it and gave them a ring. They were so understanding and pleasant they went over and above to sort my problem out. Fantastic after sale's service.There is always a smile and a welcome when you walk in.The shop is big and a musicians dream, especially if you play the guitar you'll think you're in heaven. With very friendly staff who are professional musicians themselves so understand your needs. I have read the information on the website and agree with everything on it. So with there permission I have copied and pasted on here. By the way I'm just a singer on the club circuit and have nothing to do with the shop. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I remember Alan the father of Jamie and Lindsey he would be amazed at what they have achieved!I was after a Tim Henson Ibanez acoustic and there was a waiting list for a while, but I looked on their website and they had about one left. So I tried it out and was made up with it. The action was slightly high for me, so Jamie said no problem and it was sorted perfectly. This is such a lovely shop with a nice warm welcoming atmosphere. Thanks for looking after me and you're doing an awesome job!!

I only learned that this shop exists last week, and I was absolutely amazed when I went through the door. They have a fantastic selection of instruments across a range of prices. They had some guitars, such as a Revelation 12 string electric that are rarities in guitar shops, in my (very long) experience. I think that's the key to this shop, you can get hold of the instrument you plan to buy, not just read reviews and look at pictures. Yes, with mail order, you can return something if it's not what you hoped for, but this cuts out that uncertainty.Another thing that struck me was how nice the staff are. They're really helpful and informative without being pushy or, worst still, stuck up (I hate music shop staff with a bad attitude). I saw them helping people who were obviously young beginners, and they helped and advised me (I got my1st guitar in 1975) and others somewhere in between all with a great approach. I would definitely recommend this shop and I hope they have a long life as guitar shops are too few and far between (oh, and they do drums).
