This is a wonderful butcher. The staff are great, friendly, really lovely. Wonderful selection of South African goodies. The biltong and dry wors is amazing. If you're South African and feeling homesick, step inside, you'll find a fab ray of sunshine ☀ in here.

Limited selection, most of it is taken up by various different marinated skewers, which if you're into is fine, but if you just want meat, you're better off elsewhere. Also, very expensive for the quality.

I used Clifton Butchers as my meat supplier for my South African wedding. All my family from abroad praised the quality and taste which is high praise from a horde that holds meat and celebration in the same regard. They were super professional, really accommodating and priced reasonably. I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you guys.

After buying over £100 worth of various meats for Christmas, we found the duck legs we had been given were rancid. Complained and given refund at shop - but the lady clearly didn't believe me which was real let down. Will find a new butcher from now on.

Top quality and really tasty products. Best Biltong, Drywors and Boerewors in Bristol and I can honestly say we have tried a lot of places !As part of the PTFA for St Ursula's EACT, we always get our pork sausages and burger patties from Clifton Butcher for our events due to quality and taste. We are always inundated with praise after our events for the tasty burgers and sausages.Staff at the butcher are always very friendly and helpful and they also sell some South African products for those that miss home.Having had our fire works event last night, food was fantastic once again. My daughter ate 2 burgers & I was very tempted to have a second ! Thank you Clifton Butcher for all your hard work making them for us.

Really good choice of meat. We bought chicken skewers and the range of flavours was huge. Also bought biltong and if you are an adept, go to this place. Definetely worth it!

A very friendly local butcher with a fantastic selection of butchers cuts and prepared plates. The South African Biltong and Boerwurs are a must try and a favourite in the rugby season!A fantastic local shop and one I’m very pleased to support.

Great butcher! All meats I had been top quality. Great staff always can give advice on cooking methods to get the best out of their meat products.

Wow! Absolutely incredible! We had a bbq for our wedding and came here for all of the meat and it was amazing! Our guests said it was the best meat they had ever tasted! All the meat was prepared and packed for us, ready to cook. I can not praise this place enough, I’ll never go to another butcher again! Thank you so much for making our wedding meal so delicious!!
