Great service, professional & polite staff for my recent annual event for 500 people - highly recommended

We recently used Bar4Hire for a corporate garden party at a law firm in Durham and we couldn't have been happier with the service we received. Unfortunately, due to the weather taking a particularly soggy turn, we had to abandon our plans for an outside bar and set up inside the main marquee, but the Bar4Hire team were fantastic at helping us to pull together a great bar experience nonetheless. Incredibly professional staff (even when it came to packing down the bar in torrential rain!) and a wonderful range of drinks behind the bar meant that our guests all received a really special experience from the moment they arrived. Thanks again guys!

Poor communication but did not appear intentional, made amends through apology and compensation.

We were badly let down by Bar4Hire.We booked six months in advance, and paid a £300 deposit and provided all the details needed. One week before our event, we contacted the company to confirm details, only to find that they hadn't applied for the necessary alcohol license and therefore wouldn't be providing a bar service.Their explanation for this was that they hadn't heard from us, so 'didn't think the event was happening.' They hadn't even phoned us to confirm this, and they had £300 of our money as a deposit to show the event was going ahead. For info, the license application fee is only £10, so they could have applied for it anyway.Communication was terrible throughout, with our contact's (Oliver) phone being consistently switched off throughout the six month period and him never answering calls, returning calls, and rarely 'in the office' to respond to emails. Calling the office number yielded claims of 'I'm not dealing with this, Oliver is', and then no one calling us back for days.Other mobile bar services in Scotland (who I contacted when trying to arrange a replacement bar) said they'd heard of similar situations with this company.One positive: they did - reluctantly and slowly - refund our deposit. Eventually.I would never recommend this company to anyone. Avoid avoid avoid.

I called bar4hire at the last minute as was let down by another company. The service and price were great, couldn't ask for more. Will certainly use again for parties.
