visited today to stock up and thought i would support local shops. approached wearing my mask step into the shop and got shouted out by lady behind the counter. get out there are 3 already in here" a nice gentleman that was in the shop said he was going so i was able to enter.As i was shouted at i only decided to buy milk."You cant use your card just for milk you have to spend £5".Not to day love not when you speak to your customers like you do.Reading the reviews it appears to be a regular a occurrence.Avoid.....go to the farm shopTreleague Dairy. Delicious pasty and good range of fruit, veg and essentials - bit pricey but it is a village shop. Coffee and pies looked good. Woman not rude for us, maybe just caught at bad times, has been a stressful period perhaps. Covid rules for shop on display outside so happy to comply

Lovely post office and village store with a cafe to boot!Wide range of local produce including honey, oats, coffee, meat and fresh fruit and veg.I like that I can grab breakfast while collecting the mail or sending a parcel, browse calendars and check the news.This Wobbly Wanderer recommends the bacon sandwich and a latte to fuel adventures.

Like a few reviews came across a very off hand lady behind the post office counter, made you feel like she was doing you a favour. Not sure why she is in a customer facing role as she can’t enjoy it. I think she may be nice as pie to the locals and just doesn’t like visitors.

Dreadful experience this morning. I was told (not asked) to wear a mask in a very Rude and unwelcoming way. I am very happy to wear a mask and keep people as safe as possible but why can’t you be courteous! You gave the impression that tourists are just not welcome. I shall not use your store again and have just ordered a supermarket delivery. This is a shame as my preference would be to support independent businesses. Any long term Negative effect of Covid 19 on your business Is likely to be as a result of your rudeness to visitors. This experience is in contrast to the fantastic service we have received elsewhere in Cornwall. perhaps you should have a sign outside your store saying ‘for locals only!’.

I love meeting new people and going to new places. But today I can honestly say I’ve met the rudest woman I’ve ever come across working in this otherwise lovely shop. Sadly it’s not a one-off as she was just as rude in August when we were last here. Such a shame.

Visited this shop, to get supply's for our camping trip, which we walked to as it was closer to our campsite. However we did not expect such a rude welcome from the owner/staff. Walked literally in the door and heard put your face mask on". But I'm exempt from wearing one

Appalling staff. On entering the shop - already exempt from masks when they were mandated, I was accosted by two staff members shouting that I couldn’t go in without a mask. One came rushing towards me shouting get out of the shop now. Go outside. Horrible horrible people. My husband was ill in the car with low blood sugar and we had been caught out. We were sent on our way and had to get ourselves to Penzance. Nasty people.

This is a lovely store and post office with a decent selection for its small size including gluten free and veggie items, local produce and flowers, and some local gifts as well. You can sit inside or outside and have a fresh coffee and enjoy the peace and quiet of Ruan Minor on the road down to Cadgwith. Small but perfectly formed.
