Asda Deptford Supermarket

Worst customer service ever.Came to buy a wrap and energy drink. Forgot my ID. Lady on the self checkout came made fun of me without even listening what I was trying to tell her (HAD A PHOTO OF MY PASSPORT) and left me to wait. She didn't even refuse the sale of the Energy but just left me there waiting. Absolutely unbelievable.

I specifically came to this store out of loyalty to Asda even though Tesco Express and Co-op were closer to my hotel. At the checkout the assistant, a stocky black man, asked me where the wine was. When I mentioned I hadn't bought any wine his response was that I saw you in the wine aisle". He had assumed I had slipped a bottle into my rucksack. I have been to several Asda stores over the years and never been accused of trying to steal wine. Asda say they will "log it" but in my experience that means nothing will change. I won't be returning to Asda Deptford again."

We'll stocked hate those self check outs they are a nightmare bring back real people.

Managed to sort out a refund at the Deptford ASDA store after vowing to never visit the Old Kent Road ASDA store where I had a nightmare experience. See previous review.Thanks Farah for your kindness and helpfulness. The refund has reached my credit card account.It goes to show how much of a difference it makes to have staff with genuine customer service experience instead of employing kids on work experience programmes.

They’re scammers. Never order online they deliver wrong products and don’t refund you for it.

Veg isn’t well stocked every time I go in, sometimes don’t have obvious stuff. Other than that, it’s a pretty good shop. Last time I visited they had removed the reduced section though. Useful that the store has a cash point outside, something deptford is lacking.

I saw the self checkout cash queue was too busy and I bought quite a lot so I have a trolley to put everything in. I remembered the amount of items I bought and told the staff in the checkout staff, but she seems moody & chronic towards me. I bought like 11 lettuces and I told her, I cannot take 11 lettuces out and put back in which takes long time cuz no one would checkout 11 lettuces one by one. She asked to check the trolley, I was happy for her to check because I usually bought a lot and trolley was convenient for me to put in as it saves space when moving around and more space to buy many things. If she was willing to check, she would come around and check it. But she just sigh and despise at me, then I said I’m a regular customer living nearby and she told me that: EVEN WITH REGULAR CUSTOMERS, SOME OF THEM ARE NOT TRUSTABLE. I don’t know but if you are two year customers with Asda like me and you heard that sentence from their staff like this, it totally broke my mood and I’m feeling racist. If you are asking why I’m using trolley instead of the Asda trolley is because I bought a lot and it uncomfortable to move around with two trolley at the same time. I have been buying food with trolley and being checked kindly by staffs. I saw they take a long time for one customer so why don’t she check the trolley? She even show her bad mood towards me and smirking. Sorry but is that how you were trained to speak to customers? Put your own mood towards a customer and said that they looks like they are stealing. You have that bad experience with those people and you are calling me one of those, excuse me, don’t judge people if you are not knowing or even checked? Hello, if you saw and read this review, I hope you improve your attitude towards customer, I was quiet and didn’t speak out today because this is the first time I’ve ever seen a bad customer service like this, I was shocked. I still like the store, other staffs were nice, and welcoming.

The cashier that was working on the till first had awful attitude amd i dont kn9w why she squeezed my bread and made it like doe when i asked why she did that she laughed at my face thats just great service i am amazed

Went there years ago when I used to work there, very impressive and clean place to shop in, ideal for the growth in population in the area.
