Just had a cup of tea but the customer service was fabulous. Offered to serve us something from the dessert menu, very friendly bar staff, food and cocktail menus looked good and a great range of beers. I will definitely go back for a meal next time.

Great food and beer, the food portions are large and I struggled to finish my chicken curry but managed in the end. This is a proper village pub and there is always an excellent choice of quality beers on draft.Staff are all efficient friendly and helpful.

I loved the quiet village life. Very tranquil, I could have stayed another day and night. Alan and staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended

Wonderful, proper quintessential English pub. Set in a lovely village with an amazing history, and overlooking the village pond. Restaurant quality food with a mix of the traditional and the modernYou wont be disappointed.

Had a fab meal here last night. Lovely pub, waitress very helpful and the food was amazing. They have a wide variety of good old pub food. I had the house burger which was huge and so delicious I ate every bit of it along with the perfect chips. Others in our party had the sausage and mash and the lasagne and were all very happy with their meals.Good variety of drinks on offer nice surrounding and was very busy.Nice to see a pub thriving, will be going back for more...

In the heart of the village, the pub is great and the rooms are lovely and comfortable. The beer and food are great, especially the breakfast if you're staying over. An all-around nice stay - essential for Doctor Who fans with the Daemons locations just round the corner - or anyone interested in Band of Brothers, as the real soldiers trained in Aldbourne.
