I turned up here thinking I had a table booking, only to realize that it was at a different branch (my own fault). However the staff provided us with a table and accommodated us. So this was a good start to our evening, we ordered few different drinks from the menu, loved the way the waiter brought them out and did the demo. Some of the cocktails were good whilst others were on, I suppose everyone has a different taste. The food was great 3 of us ordered the Korean burger while the 4th dish was a chicken in flat bread. All were amazing tasty. We also had a few starters, the dough balls were cool as you had to inject your own cheese into it...something I've never seen before. All in all very good experience and I would recommend it if someone is looking for a unique experience in drinking cocktails with a bite.

This could have been 5 stars. The FoH told us we would have to vacate the table in an hour as we were running late as we assumed we had a 15-minute grace. We were told our 15-minute grace was included in our 1-hour seating. We were close to leaving at that point but decided to stay. We ordered the platter, which was very good. Our cocktails came very late as it was forgotten. Our flatbread main was dry and tough. Had loads of waiters coming to our table back and forth. Table not cleared for our main. Unfortunately i wasn't impressed by the night, hence my rating. I was really looking forward to a lovely dinning experience but it didnt live up to my expectations.

We booked the Brunch with 3 cocktails which was £35 and good value for what we got.Our waitress was Naomi who was fantastic. So nice to see someone who enjoys their job. She made the experience even better. The food was great and the cocktails were amazing.I can definitely recommend the Alchemist at Canary Wharf.

Went for our team Christmas dinner.Nothing they served was piping hot. I had the broth as a starter..it was warm at best. I had the fish as a main. Similar experience.I think the only thing that came hot were the pigs in the blanket. We did the fixed 3 course Christmas menu without bells and whistles so price wise was ok, if the food had been warmer I would have rated them higher.Service did their best considering how large a group we were and the variety of things we ordered.Something to note on the drinks menu: do look at the symbol next to the drink as it tells you what kind of drink it will be. I ordered one thinking it would be a freshly made one but it was a tinned drink that cost a tidy sum but tasted not so pleasant. There were more exciting drinks that were ordered by people in the group, but I stuck to water after the first disappointment so can't comment on how they tasted.I'm not sure it's the place I would head for food but if you like fancy, experimental drinks, then I think you'll like it.

The Alchemist is an absolute classic in cocktail bars. The one in Canary Wharf is very nice, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It was nice to sit outside in the sun and enjoy some refreshing and dramatic cocktails. Typical for The Alchemist you get a wide variety of cocktails including classic cocktails and also their own versions. Some come with lights, dry ice or all kinds of extras and props. Amazing experience. It was also nice when you order at the bar and watch the experienced bartender made all the cocktails, a good part of the whole show". One little negative thing is that the waiting staff needs improvement

Nice place with a variety of creative drinks and food. I ordered pork ribs they were delicious; however, my husband ordered the chicken katsu curry he said it was horrible, he ate it as he was starving otherwise we wouldn’t have.

I visited The Alchemist for the first time at the Canary Wharf branch this evening. The restaurant is very nice and atmospheric with a good amount of music and dim lighting. Our orders were taken quickly and food came out incredibly quickly. The food was delicious, way better than I was expecting for such a simple dish. The cocktails I chose were both delicious and you truly pay for the beauty of them too.I just have one small complaint, although I understand why it is necessary to have short slots I wish you had longer at your table as I did feel a little rushed. Just an extra 15 minutes would help massively. Overall I had a pleasant time here and would return in the future!

A creative cocktail bar and restaurant situated in Canary Wharf in London. Enjoy delicious cocktails and all-day dining. From the artwork and decor, to the food and, of course, the showstopping cocktails, mocktails and extra panache that goes into various items on the menu, The Alchemist just feels like it has IT

We dined here last night and it was a lovely experience!CocktailsThe cocktails are just amazing. The drinks were just under &15 each but the experience you get with them, it’s worth the money.FoodThe prawns for starters were delicious! We chose chicken in a basket for mains and paid the extra £1 for hot and spicy glaze. The chicken was so salty that I couldn’t eat it which was a shame, but the chips and coleslaw were nice. When asked how my meal was, when the plates were being cleared, I explain that the chicken was too salty to eat, hence why i had left it. This was met with a defensive response by the waitress, sadly. She told me that it’s probably because I ordered the hot and spicy glaze and said because I didn’t tell her to begin with (even though I was never asked), there was nothing she could do about it.Due to this defensive and unapologetic response, I marked down the service. If the waitress had just apologised for the food not being edible, I would have marked the service as 5 star. Shame. The place is worth a visit for the cocktails, most definitely. I must say, other people’s food around me did look lovely, so maybe I was just unlucky on this occasion. For 2, our bill came to £140 - included 1 starter, 2 mains and 3 cocktails each.
