Had the front of my exhaust come off and had to call the rac who informed me I'd need a full new exhaust. I called and popped to see if it could be welded and it's been fully repaired at a fraction of the cost. I think I've found a new garage. Thank you so much!

On Monday 4th September phoned and spoke to Paul explained that rear exhaust pipe that joins silencer had broken. Called Monday afternoon and repair undertaken straight away by Neil and his team, also rectified missing bolts to heat shield. Neil explained that a after market replacement was not a good option and therefore a repair was undertaken as mentioned. Paul was extremely helpful by checking other options of replacing system with a stainless steel exhaust at some stage in the future. Overall I found the service received from Paul and Neil to be excellent and I would not have any hesitation in recommending the service provided by Trickett Welding.

Just brilliant! Nigel and his team excelled themselves with both customer engagement/service and a truly stellar job in treating the rust and applying wax to the undercarriage, doors and body cavities of my Toyota Hilux. Having searched the length and breadth of the UK for a suitable restorer/service provider who passionately cares about the work they do, I am absolutely chuffed with the work this company has done, and I can’t recommend them enough…. One of the back boxes of my twin exhaust fell off. The first garage I took it to suggested I write the car off as the cost to replace the exhaust was over £2k. I phoned kwik fit who said “no way will it be £2k” so I took it to them who then discovered that the first garage was correct - only Ford sold the part and you could only buy the whole exhaust. Then I took it to a place that makes stainless steel exhausts. They also tried to source a replacement first and told me that the parts alone from Ford were £1700. The quote for the stainless steel replacement was £1500 fitted. Then I contacted Nigel, whose workshop is an hour’s drive from me, to see if he thought it could be repaired. I sent some photos, he confirmed it could be fixed so I took it in. They welded the back box back on and fixed all the broken brackets, including the one higher up, which Ford should have picked up on earlier and which caused the whole problem, for £222. What’s more, the waiting room was lovely, a complete surprise, with Costa coffee and guest wifi. All in all a brilliant service and absolutely worth the drive.

My Mazda3 failed the MOT with rust in both outer sills. Phoned and spoke to Paul and took the car in straight away. Car was put on ramp and Nigel and the team showed me all the work that was necessary in great detail. Work was carried out and on collection the team showed me photographs of all stages of repair. I've been using Trickett Welding for both my Classic Mini Cooper 500S and my 1979 Ford Capri 2.0S (mk3) since 2013. On all occasions their service has been excellent – always striving to produce top-quality work. More recently, they have fully restored the Capri and she now looks amazing and runs beautifully.Here you get personal customer service – Nigel and the team always have time for you and whenever I drop in it feels more like catching up with mates rather then the usual chore of having your car fixed! I would highly recommend them!
