In the past I've had some excellent meals from Ashiana with mixed results of service when having sat and eaten at the restaurant.Usually the flavour and quality is very good. However having just had a delivery order from them I was completely underwhelmed. The food turned up an hour and half before the due time (which I had set for a reason) and despite being early it was only luke‐warm. I told the delivery driver he was early, and all he could muster was a limp wristed sorry" as if to imply there was no more care than that. I took delivery of the order as I knew full well the food would have either been left in a van or taken back to sit under heat lamps for another hour. Once I shut the door the driver knocked on it again to ask if I had paid

Best curry in Colchester! We wouldn't go anywhere else, the sauce is delicious and the naans are cooked to perfection. Superb!

The whole experince was very good. Ordered Chicken Pakora for starters, the chicken was very succulent. For mains ordered Chicken Jalfrezi, Garlic Chilli Lamb and Chicken Biryani. I have to pick out the Chicken Jalfrezi as the best of the dishes, a flavorful curry with tender juicy chunks of chicken in a spicy tomato sauce studded with stir-fried peppers and onions. The Chicken Biryani comes with a choice of side dishes, choose the Brinjal (Egg Plant) curry, which i really recommend. The portions where big enough for two people. The staff member who waited on us was very friendly. The prices where bery fair. Overall very satisfied with this restaurant.

Ordered takeaway came bang on time, piping hot! Beautiful flavours and chicken was melt in the mouth and such big servings made 2 plentiful meals out of one serving. Ordered because it was one of the closest but now because of quality. Will recommend

The food here is always excellent with very friendly service.Really lovely atmosphere with tables being a good distance apart so you don't feel crammed in.If you order too much food they box it up for you to take home so it never feels a waste.

Ordered the chicken tikka boneless, lamb tikka masala, and peshwari naan with pilau rice and it was SO FREAKIN GOOD!! This is my partners favourite place, and my first time trying and it is the absolute BEST I have EVER had! Will be returning often. :)

Always used to be good. Curries and Bombay potatoes were horrible and watery. Naan bread was soggy and cold. Rung to let them know and they sent the same again. Ended up binning it all and ordering from Curry India. Very disappointing!

Absolute rubbish system ordered online and just get the wheel of death, no update on order try to phone the landlines which just goes to a Giff Gaff answer phone, terrible service the money has been taken but are we getting and food ????

The service wasn't great, drinks were ordered then either didn't come of only half of them came. Decor was a bit shabby. Food was pretty tasteless. The Madras was a watery sauce, the saag paneer has cream in it and I'm not sure why! Just not to my taste which was a surprise as reviews are pretty good. Everyone else in the restaurant seemed happy though.
