We are really chuffed with our new church noticeboard and have received so many compliments from local people since it's gone up. The design has smartened up the front of the church site, while still being in keeping with the wooded feel of the church grounds.It's also given us the opportunity to showcase activities run here at St James' in a way that can be updated as the church evolves.The process of designing the noticeboard involved much consultation and discussion. Hugh was incredibly patient and thorough, ensuring that we were 100% happy with every aspect of the design before going ahead. He also went to great lengths to source materials that would stand the test of time while not going over budget.We're very grateful for his efforts and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hugh for one-off bespoke projects like this, where it feels particularly important to get it right.

Hugh is a great craftsman. He built a pergola on the back of the house which looks great. He is a very trustworthy guy too.

Hugh is incredibly patient and contributes great ideas into our discussions. It’s a joy to work with him. The end result is just perfect.

I needed a more practical workspace and Hugh quickly came up with really good ideas. He adapted and expanded my existing desk, including adding extra shelving. The result is a new desk, which looks a lot nicer, with no wasted space. Hugh is very professional, with high standards and is totally can-do, from start to finish. He's also a very friendly, trustworthy person.

I rang this clown up to book a routering class for Hugh charges £70 for one hour and 15 minutes. All sounds great until he asks for payment in advance. I asked him when you go to a barber or a restaurant,do you pay in advance and clearly you would not. But this guy has lost touch with reality and because people are so desperate to learn on his selfish tes and conditions they agree. I don't like paying anybody in advance for things especially when I have never met someone. What an idiot this guy really is.hevmust think he's a bloody heart surgeon. Hugh when you ask for payment in advance, if paints a picture to people that a, you don't trust them and be you are only interested in the money and not their benefit which is why people contact you for lessons not for your benefit. And one last thing, why should someone who has never met you trust you? WHAT AN IDIOT

I've been going to Hugh's Woodworks classes for a few months now and highly recommend them. Hugh is an incredible skilled and patient teacher. He helps me work through my designs and offers expert guidance on how to build and style things - all while giving me the freedom to create exactly what I want!

Fabulous. Hugh has made for us fitted wardrobes, a bookcase, and for our lounge a window seat, fitted cabinets and floating shelves.Hugh worked with us through the design process, guiding us with what would work best in the spaces we had. Recommending soft gliding drawers and doors which work silently and have enhanced our home.His work is strong, carefully crafted and looks beautiful.We definately recommend Woodworks and its been a pleasure to meet Hugh and work with him.

A wonderful experience! A great place for beginners or more advanced woodworkers. Great space with all the equipment needed. Hugh is lovely, very welcoming and very knowledgeable. He provides clear guidance and creates a great atmosphere overall, Highly recommended.
