Monument Cottage

This is the best equipped cottage I have been at in a long time with fantastic hostess Sharon. Spotlessly clean with modern fittings yet having a cottage-style charm, if you are looking for somewhere to escape for a while, this is the place! The welcome pack included fresh scottish produce including homemade scones with jam & fresh cream! We would definitely like to come back again :)

Great self catering accommodation

Loved it, secluded, peaceful and relaxing. The cottage is well equipped with everything that is needed for a luxurious break.

Just had our second visit to this lovely cottage out in the country at Monikie not far from Dundee and cannot recommend it highly enough. This trip we were a party of 4 and the 3 bedroom modern cottage was extremely comfortable, with a great kitchen,lounge room and great showers. The queen bed in the upstairs room was extremely comfortable. Plenty of heating if needed, a great starters pack" provided

Just returned from a 4 day break in Monument Cottage and I must say it was fabulous. The location is perfect if you are looking for peace and quiet as it is set in a woodland location, but not too far from Carnoustie if you want to pop out for a meal at one of the local pubs or restaurants. The cottage itself is very spacious and easily accomodated 6 adults, it was very well equipped with all home comforts and was spotless throughout. The owner had very thoughtfully lit the wood burner in time for our arrival at the cottage and this gave us a great first impression when we walked in. She had also left a basket of goodies for us including bread, eggs, hot cross buns, home made jam and Scottish cheese. The owners live close by to the cottage and are on hand if you have any questions or need assistance with anything. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending a visit to this lovely cottage.

A little difficult to find way there but lovely woodland walks and quiet area

So quiet and peaceful, with great walks. House spotless and beds comfortable. A great relaxing weeks holiday. Superb host nearby if needed. Would recommend Monument House for a great holiday especially if you have a dog as they'll enjoy the walks through the woods at Monumentand the nearby beaches.
