West Hoe Surgery

More than 10 years and can't complain at all.Never ignored, appointment usually on time.Nice, friendly atmosphere.Doctors and reception take really good care.

I've been with this surgery for 13 years!!After 6 years of the same tablets, for the last 6months I have to call the surgery every 2 weeks to get a repeat prescription so I have to call the surgery. RECEPTIONIST A says.... we don't do repeat prescription over the phone go online!! I spent over an hour setting up an online account which says this surgery can't even do prescription requests yet, and call surgery AGAIN!! RECEPTIONIST B...sure ill sort this out now but its too late so will ready for you 2mo.Im sick of being messed around every 2 weeks!! I've gone 4 days AGAIN without my meds causing me mental health problems and not left the house for days because of my nerves because of this 1 RECEPTIONIST that is so rude and un helpful!! If the other lady answered i could of collected my meds TODAY like i have done for years but instead I waisted hour+ online for NOTHING!! Different people with different attitudes!!

All of the staff here are unflinchingly helpful. From reception, where they go out of their way to help (and happen to be very knowledgeable and resourceful!), to the medical staff who are professional, supportive, and very, very nice people. I've seen a LOT of medical professionals in the last four years and West Hoe Surgery has been the best find; I've never met other medical professionals on par with this surgery (nor the administrative staff). There can occasionally be a wait on the phone to get hold of them but don't let this affect your view of them, they are THE BEST team you could ask for and will do everything they can to help you.

It was a good doctors. But bad record keeping now, when I rang a year ago to book an appointment they said I was no longer a patient. They had a different address for me which I had never lived. So I had to join the surgery as a new patient. Last week I rang to say I've moved address, they said I wasn't a patient anyway

Contact made on Friday 6th August regarding repeat prescriptions for my daughter told 48 hrs till pick up. Call chemist on 9 th no prescription done called back again to be told no Dr has signed it off would be done immediately today. Called back again still not done shocking service this is not the first time this has happened and I'm sure not the last. Will not allow you to speak with a doctor for prescription. And wait at least a week for a telephone consultation . Never used to be this hard

Fantastic GP surgery! Doctors always phone back promptly and are extremely thorough and caring. I only wish I lived in the area so they could also be my GP Surgery

You keep prescribing Prozac to my husband which has led him to drink more and do drugs. This surgery is A JOKE

We were only at this surgery for seven months due to having to move city's, signing up to it was great and the staff were lovely. I felt listened to in my appointments and the needs of myself my partner and our newborn were met and to a high standard. The main doctors involved with our care were Dr Copplestone and Dr Craig but All staff showed compassion and respect, such as nursing staff for immunisations. Thankyou to the whole team for your high quality service! It made me want to see to any physical and mental illnesses that may have arose promptly rather than waiting for things to get to breaking point which I have done in the past due to feeling judged by some staff at our previous surgery. This surgery's a module example for other GP surgeries.

Good surgery. I was always very well attended when i was a student more than 20 years ago. Today i called and a kind receptionist solved an administrative issue, very fast and efficient, after so many years, helping me to continue with a bureaucratic procedure to change to a different surgery, meaning that their IT systems work well too.
