LLAC did a brilliant job on a kitchen extension for us. Not only was Ylli, the Project Manager, brilliant but every single person that came to work at the house (whether recommended by LLAC or working for them) was quick, professional, friendly and did a great job. We’re very happy and would definitely recommend them.

LLAC started work on our loft at the beginning of this year. We’ve had a really mixed experience with them. We’re sharing this review so future clients can manage their expectations around timescale, budget, and the level of communication they’ll receive from LLAC after the core team has completed the initial work.Firstly, the good – We’re really pleased with the quality of our loft - including the ensuite. It’s been built and finished to a really high standard. Secondly, the team involved in the main construction (Jeton and his team) were fantastic – they turned round the main structure in 7 weeks, and were really pleasant to have around the house and incredibly helpful throughout. We were really impressed with them, and if this review was based on their work alone, I wouldn’t hesitate to give LLAC five stars. Anelisa, who was more on board in the early stages, was also extremely helpful and easy to communicate with –  and smoothed over and resolved some issues for us. Again, five stars for her work.However, we can’t ignore a few major issues, which include:It ended up being a very long project: what started as an exciting whirlwind of building the main structure in 7 weeks, but then petered out to a slow drip of work that happened over a remaining 7 months (started in January, finished in August). After the initial build, the core team appeared to have moved onto new loft jobs, and we were left out in the cold by an unresponsive LLAC team, and slow-to-respond (and often not the most pleasant) contractors. Considering this was meant to be an 8-week project, we were shocked to have to spend half of the year waiting for stuff to get finished.Rude phone call from boss: The plumbers discovered an issue with the piping work in our house, and had to do some additional work to sort it, including running an ugly waste pipe along the top of our kitchen extension. We were really surprised that this waste pipe requirement wasn’t noticed and quoted initially - and were shocked to have to pay a considerable amount more than planned. We discussed with our neighbours (who were also getting a loft extension by LLAC at the same time, and who didn’t have to pay for their waste pipe), and replied to LLAC asking for an explanation. Both us and our neighbours were met with a really angry phone call from the LLAC boss, actually shouting at us for having discussed the waste pipes. This seemed really disproportionate, and luckily Anelisa was able to step in and smooth it all over. The boss needs to learn to speak to his customers more respectfully, with a solution-focused attitude - this interaction was completely unnecessary and punctured what was previously a very pleasant and trusted relationship we’d built up with the team. I’d advice that the boss stays out of all client communication, he clearly can’t control his emotional response.Costs rose as we progressed: Prepare your budget for things to go wrong, as unexpected issues meant we ended up spending more than expected. We assumed that loft extensions at pretty standard, but there are lots of nuances with how the plumbing gets installed etc.We had to give this review a lot of consideration before posting, because the core team and Anelise were absolute gems. But the company is really let down by the boss’s approach to communicating with clients, and project management (and communication) beyond the initial structure build. I wouldn’t say don’t use them, but maybe ensure all plumbing and electrics are investigated before getting a quote, maybe get an agreement for how communication and project management will work before you get started.

We chose LLAC for our loft conversion through a Google search, as we were living in Sydney and had no recommendations to draw on. It was the best leap of faith we have ever made. From the outset, the team were responsive, communicative, open and helpful.I foresaw the potential for communication problems by undertaking building work from so far away, but there were none. Ylli’s team did what they said they would do, in the timeframe and price that they promised. The workmanship is of incredible quality, as his guys take great pride in their work. We are completely delighted and would not change a thing.

We did a kitchen extension in e17. LLAC were easy to communicate with, competitive in price, and helped us overcome several unforeseen issues we had with our initial design. Very happy with the final product and Ylli was a good project manager - always available to discuss problems big and small. For the price particularly, workmanship was very good

Excellent workmanship on both our loft conversion and kitchen extension. Top quality finish. Jobs were all finished within the original quote and within the time specified. Amazing company! A rare find in the building trade. Honest, friendly and great quality work. Really happy with the work LLAC did for us. They did our dormer loft conversion last year to a really high standard. Asking them to do some more work in our kitchen this year so only just now remembered to leave a review. All the tradesmen were super professional and friendly. Initially we were worried about undertaking a big project and weren't sure who to get to do the work so we got 4 different quotes. LLAC's quote was very competitive and they were the only company that provided references for us to go and see their other jobs. All happy customers so we decided to go with LLAC and couldn't have made a better choice. They really helped out when we had to make changes to the plans, helped with some additional custom woodwork we needed doing and understood how stressful the whole process can be. Thoroughly recommend them.

Before engaging LLAC to do our loft conversion we received a number of quotes from other companies.At the first meeting with Ylli from LLAC our impression was of a professional, honest approach providing clear and straightforward information.The payment procedure was clear and manageable with percentage payments at set stages.This reassurred us along with LLAC various accreditations and very competitive pricing they would the best people to work with.We initially liaised with their architect who was also very ameniable when we needed to make amendments to the plans and gave us guidance through the necessary planning application.Once planning permission was received we were amazed at how quickly a very considerate, polite and hardworking team of builders took out our old loft and put up the steels and dormer in our new space.The pace did not slacken despite some very cold weather and they always made sure the build was secured as best it could when work stopped for the day.The management and coordination by Ylli and Genc was excellent, alongside a team of professionals, electricians, plumbers etc. who were always polite, friendly and easy to communicate with.We are extremely happy with our new loft which will be a kitchen/dining/lounge.The work has been done to a very high standard and went as smoothly as we could have possibly wished.

We had several quotes for a loft conversion and kitchen extension and decided to go ahead with LLAC as from the outset Ylli was very professional and helpful. We decided to stay at the house throughout the work, with our children, but the team were always considerate and worked really hard to minimise the disruption and leave the house each day as clean and secure as possible. The team arrived promptly at 8am every morning and Ylli was there each morning to discuss the work, and never failed to answer his phone on the rare occasion that there was an issue. The whole project was completed within 10 weeks, as promised, and the finish is to a very high standard. I cannot recommend LLAC highly enough - we are so delighted with the finished result!

We are very happy with the work carried out on our loft conversion by LLAC. They finished on time, in budget and the work is of a very high quality. I found I did slightly more hands on project management than I anticipated (communicating timing between e.g. plumber and tiler) but overall does not detract from satisfaction level of work done. Good communication, reliable invoicing and could always get hold of someone when I needed them.

LLAC converted our loft into living space and the results were outstanding. The size and layout of our attic meant space was limited but LLAC managed to make the most of what was available giving us more space and ceiling height than we expected. The on-site team were fantastic and really helpful in making sure that our specific requirements for the external and internal design were achieved. The work was completed on time and on budget.
