Delta Force Paintball Cardiff

Wow.. gone to the dogs. Hour long wait and bored fed up marshal's. Two guys running a full Saturday. Only 4 games out of six and two played on one field. Loads of red tape and unsafe signs. I loved this place but it needs so much renovation its tragic. Upgraded gun package has guns which run out of gas and hoopers jam constantly. All the gear is run down and tired. If kids go be warned that kids as young as six were playing with adults. Who shot and threw grenades at them like they were peers. Some kids were proper mullered. Like saving private Ryan. But Ryan was a six year old lying in a mud puddle wishing he brought a sock to protect his jock. Not good

Below average paintball centre. We had far too many people for the size of the maps, so didn’t really feel like you were engaged in the play and everyone was cramped. The first map was especially bad with 5 people hiding behind the same barrel. Some of the map design was quite interesting, but didn’t really get to appreciate it as we weren’t out for that long. Conditions were awful when we played, which didn’t help, but more could be done to maintain the state of the ground. It’s a very expensive day for such a restricted experience. The staff were very friendly and we’re doing the best they could with the amount of people who were there. Essentially I feel as though it would be more fun as a child. All that being said, the last map, based on the Berlin Wall was really fun. Would have been a much better experience with less people! Could be a better experience on another day.

Went there as part of a stag do, great fun. We were in the same group as small children but were free to shoot them nonetheless. Our martials Dan and Zoe were very good, friendly and kept us safe. Spent about £75 on equipment, easily lasted the whole session.

Great experience and is fun for a variety of ages. It's definitely worth the amount of money spent. The staff were great and were very enthusiastic to help

Genuinely had a good time here but definitely has room for improvement, after purchasing the best battle-pack (£90) you get an improved gun…almost every gun was either low on power or jamming, using 3-5 paintballs a shot or just splatting out the barrel broken, this really took the shine off the day as I had 500 paintballs ready to go (£55+) on the last game, I honestly didn’t shoot that much at all and by the 2nd - last round I had run out, I did mention this on the 1st round and was told there’s nothing wrong with it, anyway, when I went to tell the Marshall the issue again he said I had to use all the ammo anyway…and if it was the beginning of the day he would say it’s a pisstake blah blah blah, while being seemingly on edge about replacing the weapon. Honestly, not the response I expected after spending that much money on ammo and the extra gun. Realistically if I have 500 bullets, I have 500 shots, not less than 200.Obviously being a Saturday we expected a delay, but not an hour after arriving…also large groups of people but 30+ a team isn’t fun, you cannot move to objectives. While the whole game is to shoot people, having this many people you will get absolutely peppered with any sort of movement, and with this many people it seems hands up and go back to spawn safely isn’t monitored, obviously not too bad for adults but for children they should be monitored at all times.As for the maps, an expected amount of mucky terrain but the actual buildings could do with some updating and repairing, like sniper towers not in use? Mental. A lot of caution before starting on where you can and cannot go. Definitely causes confusion amongst players, and with so many players and limited options where to go, you often end up in a small area getting blasted (personally doesn’t bother me but others mentioned it)Toilets are unclean too, my local on a Saturday night has better standards.Guys at the resupply were super friendly and cool, helping people out putting gear on ect, good jobs.

My son went with friends for his 16th...they all had a wonderful time and said they would love to go again

Lukewarm experience. Lots of the courses seem to be damaged so we were all restricted. The person keeping score was on his phone the whole time so no winners were announced. Seems like a far cry from the first time I went there. However the staff at the shop were very kind and welcoming.

Visited the site earlier this year for the first time in ages. New staff were very welcoming and manager was very helpful showing us a short cut home afterwards. Highly recommended.

We arrived at 9am to be greeted by two members of staff. From the start they were friendly and really helpful. The game areas are awesome really well made, and enjoyable. Liam Our Marshall was outstanding for a young man he gave instructions all the way through, had a lot of patience and clearly loves what he does. The base was clean and authentic. Facilities were faultless. And so much better than expected. There were 8 of us playing three adults and three teens. And everyone of us had a really great time. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to go for a good fun time. Although The cost of the day wasn’t cheap! We had 200 paintballs each to start, and ended up buying a 1000 at £80.It’s not something I could afford regularly but the outstanding service from the two guys. And the amount of fun we all had it was money well spentI did have my reservations before going due to the incompetence of the call centre, when booking I had initially rung for a quote on costs and as soon as I made it clear I was looking for prices the guy on the phone was abrupt. I did then book through Groupon and only realized after that it was still a further £9.99 each. Still a saving. But the 2nd call I had to hang up due to the complete idiot on the end of the phone, 3rd call to the booking centre I was still left with a completely abrupt man who was talking over me and got to the end of his sales pitch before I got to tell him I had a reference number because I had already booked. Very frustrating

the venue is in a lovely area of cardiff and was nice to have a little stroll past a farm on the way in from their car park. well sign posted. some great photo opportunities on the walk into the centre with disused ex-army equipment.came here for my birthday and had a blast; we used the bridges, the castle and the boat/bunker arenas. (all more shaded areas which was brilliant)our team was taken on by scott and he was absolutely amazing. incidents involving our opposing stag-do group during the castle session were sorted out very quickly and professionally by him and we were all so grateful.our afternoon session overran about an hour but there was a lot of younger ones on the site on this particular day compared to 18+ groups so that was totally understandable, but do take that into consideration when placing a booking.paintballs are decently priced; 100 for £12 standard, but the kitted starter packs are definitely greater value for money and they can be split among a few people too.there are lockers on site for a deposit fee which is returned with the key.overall really good fun and a great experience - myself and all my friends had so much fun, even at the start of the heatwave! would definitely return and recommend.
