Excellent job done by John and his team. Guys worked hard in all weathers. Very pleasant and had no problems with John answering my calls or questions. Delighted with work carried out and would definitely recommend.

What a first class project John and his team completed. Communication from the first day was excellent, his advice re planting was invaluable. Thank you to you all for our transformed hedge. Really delighted with the whole project - highly recommended John.

Garden was good for a few weeks, staff were great but John simply doesn't get back to you for remedial work.Have tried to contact him numerous times about bad drainage on grass and water pooling. Paid a very large amount of money but never seen him since.Very much let down, poor after care for the money spent. He will still happily use photos of your garden to show of his work though!

Phoned JML on Sunday 7th June 2020 but no answer. Left message on answerphone explaining I wished my back garden landscaped etc and left my mobile number.No call back, gave benefit of the doubt and called again on Monday, he volunteered to come out on Tuesday however no show. Also no call back to rearrange...totally zero contact.Very disappointed, so it would appear that the 'Make Your Dreams Come True 'advert will not apply to us!!!I appreciate that this is a very busy successful company but a little dose of common decency would have been nice. If you can't make an agreed date, at least phone and rearrange another date.

After moving into a new build last year, I posted on Facebook to get recommendations for local landscapers. Several people in the area recommended using John Macaulay Landscapes. I was able to message John's team directly via Facebook Messenger and within a couple of days John himself had been round, measured up and priced the job.The price was really competitive. John gave us an estimate of when his team would be able to complete the work - and the guys arrived as expected and did a cracking job, turning a muddy patch of land into a fantastic garden for the summer and putting up fencing.So, this year, when we wanted to do a bit more work on the garden, we had no hesitation in using John's services again. Everything went seamlessly and within a couple of weeks of me getting in touch, the work was complete. John and his team have done a fantastic job on both occasions. If you're looking for a landscaper, I'd definitely recommend John and his team!

Great work guys were quick and efficient garden looks great v happy.On the down side John himself is very reluctant to answer follow up calls and just blanks you when you leave messages about coming out to finish jobs that they have started. DO NOT PAY HIM anything even for work they have done ,if they have to come back to do more in other parts of your garden as they DO NOT SHOW and don't answer the phone when rang

At the start of the process it took a while to receive the quote from the initial email. That in itself should have raised concerns but I persisted and eventually I received the quote. Next came fixing a starting date and once again it took a while and finally a date was agreed. On the evening before starting date a small digger appeared on our garden while we were out, a positive sign so I thought. Starting day came and went, the following day I sent an email asking what happened. John appeared then left to go for the grass, this was dropped off and that was the end of day 2. Finally on day 3 work commenced and later on in the afternoon work was 99.9% completed, the only remaining item was for John to come back and Blow" the grass.Later on that night I received by email the invoice and bank datails

Excellent work from very hardworking and skilled landscapers. John also had ideas and recommendations when we didn’t know exactly what we wanted ourselves or how it would look. The quality of the materials and finish in the garden was way above our expectations and we look forward to some good weather to enjoy it! So glad we used JML and will highly recommend commend to anyone!!

I’m sure they do a great job if you can get them to turn up.We met at the end of February and eventually agreed a price and start date.The date was late March/early April.I contacted them 10 April and was told could not start before last week in April.We agreed a revised start date of 29/30 April.No show.Was contacted by them to say they would turn up on 2 May.No show.In spite of several messages from me they did not get back to explain or give a new date.I finally cancelled the job on on 4 May.It’s a shame I had to do this because from all accounts the standard of work is pretty high.However 5 weeks on from expected start date not good enough.

Not ReliableJohn MacAulay landscapes agreed to do my work and priced the work accordingly. An approximate date was set for the work but the date came and there was no contact from thislandscaper. Numerous messages by way of texts and phone calls were made (most of which were ignored) eventually further promises were made to do the work but further failures to appear became almost routine. Eventually a final promise to do the work was made and again they did not turn up and they failed to make contact.In view of the firms unreliability I had no choice but to go elsewhere.
